Please join us at Field Projects for a Closing Conversation between Sahana Ramakrishnan and Aditi Natasha Kini @fluffynanfancyboy upon the last day of A NIGHT IN THE WOODS, Ramakrishnan's solo exhibition.⠀ ⠀ The audience is encouraged to participate in a lively discussion of world religion, double genital mythical creatures, material exploration, cross cultural storytelling, maximalism, power squat, gender roles, modern feminism, animal impulses, among many other ideas and ideals to be explored in this work.⠀ ⠀ Refreshments will be served!⠀ ⠀ #AditiNatashaKini is a writer, multimedia artist and curator whose work often involves memory, trauma and displacement through the lens of intersectional feminism and collective knowledges. This past summer, Aditi curated the "Inherited Trauma" exhibit at Local Project, wrote 3 articles for Jezebel and Bitch about media representations of immigrants, joined "The Grapevine" Season 3, a panel-style Web series on race, politics and pop culture. This October, Aditi is working on a short horror film parodying assimilation narratives, and writing two long-form essays on colorism in the South Asian diaspora and white male mediocrity respectively. Aditi holds a B.A. and M.A.L.S. from Wesleyan University.⠀ ⠀ #sahanaramakrishnan #anightinthewoods #soloexhibition #sahanaramakrishnanart #fieldprojects #fieldprojectsgallery #fieldprojectschelsea #contemporaryart #fineart #artworldtoday #contemporarypainting #mixedmediaart #contporarydrawing #contemporaryprinting #centaur #greekmythology #hindumythology #buddhistmythology #mythology #modernmythology #drawing #painting #mixedmedia #collage #southasianartist #southeastasianartist #internationalartist #nycart #nycexhibition (at Field Projects)
