Apollo saw the hint of a smile in Athena's face and sat close to her, leaning his head carefully so he wouldn't touch any uncomfortable parts of her body. He always had genuine interest in her field of expertise and in what she heard with her special ears. But that wasn't the only reason. "I... find the sound kind of relaxing." he began speaking more softly as he came closer. "Plus, I'm curious about your special ability. It lets you hear people's hearts, right? To me it seemed like some some sort of magic, seeing you use it to discover the truth from something like emotions..."

Oftentimes, such sweet words and loving sentiments from Apollo would cause a deep crimson blush and send her heart racing. True, there was a light dusting of pink that arose in her cheeks, but the rhythmic beating of Apollo’s heart that she could hear kept her serene, and she could feel her own match his pace. It was hard to imagine a time before Apollo had been her life, truthfully,
“Mmm...I’m glad you’re getting use out of it Apollo. All I want to do is make you feel warm and happy wherever you are, even when we have to be apart sometimes.” The gentle brunette lifted head, giving her boyfriend the sweetest, most sincere smile.
“I think maybe I’d noticed.” Teasing as the reply was, it was just as soft as the rest of her, slightly playful but not in a mean way. “I’d say the same if it weren’t for the fact that I’m pretty certain I’m in love with you as much as it’s possible for a person to be in love with someone. But then again, who knows? Life is full of surprises.” Crawling up so her face was level with his now, a thumb ran across his cheek before she leaned down so her lips could meet his, holding the kiss for a good while and inviting him to do the same.
