I'm working on an AU where Miles is a writer and Phoenix is an artist. Maya is also a defense attorney because I thought it would be funny. DL-6 didn't happen

They meet because Miles yearns for a an expensive piece of Steel Samurai merch (a figure I would think) but is too broke to afford it. He sees a contest online where the best illustrated story wins a huge sum of money and while he is intrigued, he cannot draw and the contest requires teams of two people. Therefore he resorts to looking for a partner (you see where I'm going with this...)
