The more and more I read about the changes that have happened to BG3 since its "full release" to now it's crazy how people treat it as some massive artistic acheivement when Larian's artistic integrity begins and ends at who whine the loudest o thier forums

I know the Dragon Age subreddit is poison but I was talking about the prison of regret and how it is used to emphasize the similarities between Rook and Solas as they are both heavily burdened by the regrets they hold only that Rook was able to work through theirs to escape. Someone than comes along and say the prison makes no sense as Rook shouldn't be trapped in their as the don't hold any regret for any of their decisions and I have to wonder did they play the same game as me because Rook is extremely bothered and held up on their regret from the moment they wake up after the ritual site. Like how can you play this game and say the protagonist isn't regretful of many of the decisions they made

I'm unironically getting to the point where when I see people complaining about the lack of chantry or "everything is elves" in Veilguard I just hear a Christian person being mad thier self insert faith isnt being catered to at all times in a fictional game

Dragon Age fandom truly is great, i pointed out that me as an ace person feels Lucanis often times feels very ace coded but apparently that isnt good enough and I'm nit qualified to actually discuss what it means for a character to be ace. I shouldn't be surprised haven't how phobic most fandoms are but it is crazy to see a comment as innocuous as "I'm ace and Lucanis feels ace" can set people off so much tot tell me that I shouldn't speak on topics around my sexuality

I'm at a point where I'm 95% sure when people keep talking about how Veilguard "didnt respect the lore" it is then telling on themselves for not paying attention or that it didnt conform to the head canon they have been working on for upwards of a decade. Like sure you can say that but dont hide it under a veil of it being not lore accurate when it consistently touches upon lore that hasnt been mentioned since origins

I know I'm ranting alot about people reaction to the world state options but I have one more nit pick I must vent out. I really really really hate how I keep seeing over and over the same line about how "if our choices don't carry over what was the point in playing the previous games" how the hell do these people play any other game where your choices dont matter, how do they play games that dont have sequels. Do you really not value a games world and story that you can explore until the sequel comes out?

A games value isnt only tied to how it can be referenced in sequels and it really pisses me off that people are currently treating it that way.

Any way I think it's about time to leave this ranting for a bit it's just really irritating how people dont treat the devs like people and they are treating the game as nothing more than another piece of content to be consumed all games are art please treat them as such

I have gotten to a point where I'm 99% sure people who have problems with Veilguards writing would be calling it the greatest thing ever if you just put it into AI and tell it to put the script through a thesaurus and use the most stereotypical fantasy wording for everything.

I finally got around to picking up and reading Parliament of Rooks after ordering it months ago at my local comic shop and I think I just found a new favorite artist, absolutely wonderful art that truly captivating me into this world that's been crafted. I may have to do many studies the art in this book (and her other works) other work to pull some influence into my own art as I was enthralled by every panel
