Instead of people getting aggressive or saying "well you're wrong and I'm in the right" when confronted by an opposing opinion, people should go "why do you think that" or "can you explain a bit more please." Being aggressive or childish about the ideas or opinion of another person holds up a big sign that says "I'm not open to conversation, I will not be respectful, I will not be kind if you talk to me at all, I will not be civil, and I will not listen to any evidence." It makes you a person that other people do NOT to talk to. This applies to EVERYTHING! Whether it be ships, or politics THIS APPLIES!! It's fine to have hard opinions on certain things, and not change your mind after having a conversation. Just do NOT be rude about the opinions of others.
