Yeah, that actually makes perfect sense. Problem is however, that almost all of Tumblr’s more private options for a blog,save for the instant messaging feature, is more or less completely inaccessible, and the instant messaging feature here on Tumblr has it’s own minor accessibility problems to keep in mind as well.
The nature of the medium level of privacy for a blog on this website is such as to make it impossible for me to follow and read them, which is why avoid blogs that are private by disguising them as part of the main feed like the plague. And this fact saddens me on so many levels because I know that I for one am missing out on some great blogs because of this. But it can’t be helped at all.
The accessibility problem with the replying feature is something that I know has caused some of my fellow bloggers on this site to jump from this platform and avoid it like the plague. One of my favorite blind bloggers of all time recently shut down their blog for good because the accessibility problems with certain features of this site such as the replying and cuing features just to name a couple of them.
And honestly, I’m aware that any sort of compromise or solution I come up with outside of banning replies on my post with extreme hostility will be anything but private. The replies people leave on my posts will be illuminated for all to see on the front of my blog, asthat’s the only way I can make it work for all involved, myself included.
I know that there are browser tools to make the replying feature more easy to work with but sadly those tools are about as accessible as the replying feature itself.

Whenever I peek at the Trending tab every 3rd post is a Bat family conversation. WTF? How is this stuff always trending?

Thank you Sithi for your response and for your understanding as well. Yeah, I don’t have a problem interacting with post through the reblog feature myself, so long as the person I’m interacting with mentions me in the post like I tend to do with people, as well as add my blog’s username somewhere in the tags, I use both of those to keep track of posts easily, as it’s the only accessible way for me to do so.
Like I said, I’m only considering this because I know that only a small percentage of the people who read my blog, both general readers, as well as the friends I’ve made or I am in the process of making, but I’d like to try and increase the rate of interaction if possible. I mean, what’s the point of following a blog if you aren’t going to interact with any of the posts from it, especially the ones from the topics that drew you to and inspired you to follow the blog in the first place?
Then again, I’m fully aware that I need to go through my own list of blogs I follow and cut out a good bit of the ones I followed but don’t really read for one reason or another. I’m in the process of doing tthe same with both my blog on Wordpress as well as my channel on Youtube.
In the mean time, I’ll wait and see if anyone else comes forward to reply to any of these posts or any post I create in the upcoming days. Depending on how it goes, I might go ahead and update my blog policy.
On a completely unrelated topic, I still need to finish answering the ask you sent me a little while back. Things have been keeping me pretty busy, and I just finally got over a mostly week long bout of some kind of fever inducing sickness that every member of my family that lives near me caught one by one, one after another. So that response should be finally forthcoming in the next few days or so!
