Im at my apartments gym after months of not going (after years of no exercise between a very non physically demanding job and posr covid issues) and the soft grunt of effort/discomfort i made using the leg press (stiff knees) made me think of that stupid gym with the stupid lung/lunk? Alarm thing ive seen online and how horrified id feel of i sat that off and how just discouraged id feel.
Like I quit smoking after 20 years, Ive admittedly put on like 60 pounds in the past 2 years between that, my sedentary job/life style, and the fact im now in my mid 30s.
I am greatful that my apartment has a half decent gym because if I had to go to a commercial gym that publicly shames *checks notes* normal human noises of strain and effort with public embarrassment id fucking quit.
