● FEBRUARY 2018 CONVEX EVALUATION
ChAOS : 12:30 : ( full vid + 1:30–2:10 vocal solo )
jinwook gravitates toward the company seniors for inspiration. he’d been a fan of royal pirates even before becoming a trainee, but this evaluation called for a dance performance too. when it comes to strong vocal color, smooth choreography, and distinct artistry, chaos is a consistent king.
facing the red recording light, his coaches, his ceo, and the world beyond, jinwook hopes he can do them an ounce of justice.
we’re walking to a place we can never return from
his dance skills are nothing special, but he’s secured the basics after all the months of struggling. he chooses a song to reflect this. where jinwook lacks in flexibility and power, as his coaches so frequently point out, he does his best to compensate with overtime and muscle memory. the steps to 12:30 become manageable even for him, and look clean and fluid in jinwook’s practice videos ( though on closer inspection, he’s often spotted mouthing along with the beat count ).
he recruits help to trim down his lines without losing flow. catching rest on trickier dance sections, and dropping choreography from the bridge entirely, make things more realistic for someone with his dismal lack of live singing and dancing experience ( in a lifetime: the mgas, that nova audition, i feel you, and the christmas evaluations ). when he struggles to bring the elements all together, he finds support from his members, his leaders, and his trainers — every step of the way.
but your warm embrace, i can’t see it or touch it now
the bridge turns into the highlight of the performance. that’s the intention, at least, because jinwook is supposed to be a vocalist on the vocal team. he’s happy with the way he sounds, too, when he’s able to practice only the vocals.
in full run-throughs, the bridge is hit or miss. in front of the panel, jinwook seeks out center-stage and stands in place for the duration. he can feel it, as soon as he stops moving, that he’d gone a little too hard in the first minute. his breath control is rough from exertion, vocals thin, but he presses a hand to his chest and rides it out. the beat mellows — finger snaps, piano, harmonies in the instrumental — and jinwook fights to catch his breath before the high note.
a moment of truth: adlibs soar in the backtrack, and jinwook impulsively drops an octave below them. the note is weak and oddly sustained, and he bites his lip, missing a beat as he grinds back into the choreography.
it’s a small miracle that the final chorus goes smoothly otherwise. hardly a beat after the music fades, jinwook loses the composure and drops his head, an apology on his lips. he bows to the coaches, to the camera, thanking them. disappointment. he pictures it radiating in waves off the panel; his own regret bounds forward to meet them halfway. the sound of his breath fills the silence. when he finally lifts his head, he eyes the red recording light of the video camera, and straightens back up.
he knows he’ll regret this for months if they highlight the take on project convex. it takes another moment of courage to address baek jiyoung directly. “i’m sorry, sajang-nim. i’m not sure what happened there.” jinwook tilts his head, tries to even his voice. “but if it’s possible that i could have just one more try… i think i can show a better performance.”
i know it’s all my fault but i couldn’t let go of the feelings, the hope
“would that be okay with you?” he risks a sheepish smile, though smiling is the last thing he feels like doing. it’s a pity appeal to his favorite coach. vouch for me. he may be out of line, but that performance was out of line, and at least he can say he asked for a second chance. jinwook knows he doesn’t need to clarify the terms of his request: i’ll make it worth the wait.
THIS IS JUST A START, MY FEET ARE
BURNING WITH FIRE [00:00 to 02:31]
He didn’t think of himself as complacent until Yixing said so. Was he relying on what he already knew instead of approaching everything from the beginning again? Was he really trying to fade into the background? His role had been given to him but it still hadn’t set into his actions yet. Instead of complacent, he wanted to be more greedy. The lyrics for the song comes to him in the middle of the night and he’d been caught by Jinki. Bashfully, he had to brush off his small bout of insomnia as anxiousness for the month’s eval performances. Two years in Nova but he didn’t perform directly for the ceo as often as it seemed they would be doing now. The nerves hadn’t gotten to him as badly as they did in Sphere. He didn’t feel like he had so much to prove in the past.
The song is altered, changed to suit his voice and to suit his dance for the second half. All his experience in the short time he was no longer a trainee goes into one week of trying to cram everything, a sudden change in his performance choice for the month. All to prove that Yixing was wrong but all it does is make him realize his friend might be right. His planned dance seems lazy compared to what he could do if he tried this from the beginning. Rome’s left with lyrics he’d spilled onto the pages of his notebook every chance he could, scribbling, crossing out, and rewriting until he was satisfied he was improving. When he was offered the contract, he thought to himself that Baek Jiyoung saw so much potential in him and it’s damn near disgraceful that it took him months to try and achieve all of his potential.
I AIN’T SAYING SHE’S A GOLDDIGGER BUT
SHE AIN’T MESSIN’ WIT NO BROKE BROKE
DANCE [01:46 to 02:34] ♫ [00:24 to 01:25]
Beats rearranged, he matches the song to his own style and it shows but he feels the weight of Yixing’s words again. Was he going back to what he knows? He misses a beat and he hopes it won’t go noticed, no second cut needed but he feels like he’s now on the cutting board. His only thought is fuck, I hope this feeling isn’t here to stay.
he doesn’t want to feel stuck, as if he’s only capable of one style, or one thing, because truthfully yixing was a dancer. he got into sphere as a dancer so he makes a choice to go back, to rewrite what he’d accomplished before. one of the first times he sang and danced for sphere with confidence. it was nearly a year again, nearly a year that he’d been with jennie.
time flies and he wants his progress to soar with it.
his singing is more stable now, he can harmonize, and he thinks his singing got better like ailee says. he couldn’t possibly reach her level but a guy has to dream and he has to aim high, not just as leader but because he wants this. because he’s not the same guy he was nearly a year ago. there’s flow to his steps and to his voice, a melody that finally translates across his body to his soul and mind, but most importantly to his vocal cords too.
soft but strong, like the stroke of a calligraphy brush. he carries grace in his pocket and a tune in his heart. his original choreography is still toned down, lighter so the lyrics can glide the way his feet do but it’s his song he cares about most now. he doesn’t want to be just a dancer anymore but a performer, an idol.
《 do whatever you want my baby
don’t worry and hold my hand 》
he wants to be reliable, for the way he can carry a note to reassure his group members that he will support them too, hold them up, take their hand and go through their lives together from now on. because no matter what happens from this point on, they’re bonded together asconvex. just one more time, he has to say: i don’t want to stop. you make me hum happy when i’m near you.
this time around, yixing is in love with the music and the group.
FEBRUARY EVALUATIONS ;; individual performances.
nam woohyun performing goodbye by lc9′s jun.
dancing has never been his strong suit, but woohyun has improved by milestones to the point where he is proud of how far he's come with it. now, his second evaluation as an official convex member, he moves his body to a seated position, trying his best to ignore the panel of people watching him-- his coaches, and baek jiyoung herself. his fingers clutch together, nerves on fire as he breathes in and out-- tries his best to focus on the music, let himself fall into the role, the story he's about to play.
he lifts his head slowly, voice filtering out as he begins to sing. "if only i could hold you in my arms and walk together. in front of my eyes that are looking at you." his fingers flex and twitch, limbs stretching. "inside your eyes that are looking at me, there's a future we have to follow."
he stretches back, legs sticking out as his back hits the floor, one hand lifting to the air as his body moves up in an arch. "waving hands to our days that are fading away, i walk sadly in front of my eyes that turned dark like a candle that's stopped burning."
his feet kick out, arms moving and stretching before he tugs his body into a seated position, then slowly folding forward. his body moves and then stops, sharp and jagged movements as he turns his body. he spins in a circle on the ground, arms extended out as he breathes. "just like how falling flower petals greet, i'm smiling with lonely tears. goodbye, my love. don't be sad alone, there are flowers that bloom brightly in this world."
the music is sad; it's feeling and there's emotion in it -- and if there's anything woohyun is good at, it's showcasing emotion in his voice. this time it's about the dance, and he tries his best to replicate it, to twist it into something that's readable, into something that's relatable.
he spins, twists to his feet in a dramatic motion, head twisted down as his arms flicker out. his arms bend and twist-- reach out to grab and pull back in sharply, body following in sharp movements as he sings, breathes out the lyrics in a heart-wrenching melody.
rather than staying around in fear of the end that will come someday,
would i be happier dreaming about us embracing each other?
it's a sad, sad song. woohyun thinks of mijoo, as he breathes and lets his arms move in fluidity, with sharp motions that hit the crescendos of the song.
he spins, and he bends, hands to the ground-- his breathing sharp as he continues-- and perhaps it isn't the best, it isn't woohyun's style. but it's something that he puts all of his emotions into-- and if woohyun does anything, it's try his best.
FEBRUARY 28TH, 2018 — PROJECT CONVEX EPISODE 1 FILMING
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE: MOVIE — BTOB ( DANCE & VOCALS )
he’s nervous— unsurprisingly. perhaps it’s the eyes of panelists and of baek jiyoung throwing him back to his audition over a year ago, or the blinking red light of the camera taunting him from another angle. perhaps it’s the eyes of his group mates, high expectations twinkling in what is probably only seungcheol’s imagination but it makes no difference where in the heat of the moment. has his bowtie tightened since he put it on? his ( admittedly quite old ) suit shrunk since he buttoned it up? it feels as so, and he shuffles awkwardly as he waits for his cue to get into position, pulling at his cuffs and tucking his fingers into his collar.
everything’s going to be fine.
in reality, it’s likely the threat of one take that scares him the most. it’s a concept he’s ridiculously familiar with at this point — after all, it had once been his trademark — but that hardly means he likes it when it comes to dance— when it comes to a dance he hadn’t known prior. so far, seungcheol had ( somehow ) gotten away with recycling choreographies he had learnt in previous evaluations, and he had contemplated doing the same this month. he tried to convince himself no one would notice, no one would realise, but the fear of further failure, the fear of being scolded outweighed the benefits of having less chance of embarrassing himself in front of everyone.
still, there were things he could do to ensure that didn’t happen. practicing ridiculous amounts is the most obvious and he does. as miserable as it sounds once he thinks about it, now that he has no real home to return to, he finds himself staying over for extra practices alone in an empty studio or for longer workouts in the gym almost every day. why not? bonding with his members is important and he’s trying, but it’s not like it used to be. he would rush home to spend his limited time with his family, and he knows that soon enough, convex will be his family, but it’s not as if his time with them is limited. he’s fond of them all, he really is, but perhaps his need to be alone sometimes is his introverted nature peeking back through again. for the most part, he’d managed to swallow it, bear with being overwhelmed as he’s surrounded by so many people at once, but it drains him and so long nights with his chosen song on repeat become a part of his routine.
once the day comes, despite his nerves, he can’t really say he regrets it.
처음엔 다 그래 믿을만한 놈은 없고
네 옆에 내가 있기엔 너무 아깝다고
날 어떻게 말해도 넌 그냥 이대로
밤이 새도록 끝까지 나와 즐기면 돼 hey dj
the dance isn’t hard per se. it is because he’s choi seungcheol and even with all the progress he’s made over the last year or so, dance still isn’t even close to a strength of his, but when he sees the dancers of the group practice throughout the month— it could certainly be worse. he’s lucky to get some breaks in the choreography to focus on his vocals and he trains himself to instinctively use these to catch his breath for the times where he can’t relax and project his voice as easily.
여자는 자나 깨나 조심해야 해
둘로 나눠서 가질 순 없을 테니 man
불이야 불이야 조심해 어두운 거리에서
나를 유혹하려 해도 I belong to my lady
유머 한 조각 올려 먹는 cake
최고 외에 잡다한 수식어는 pass
make history or not
널 향해 서 있어 all night alright
he’s also grateful for the amount of rap in his chosen song. of course, that’s down to him for choosing it, but finding something that has the perfect balance of showcasing all three skills and that feels realistic given his personal abilities at each ( and the crossovers; he’s much better at singing whilst dancing than rapping at the moment ) had seemed like it’d be impossible at the beginning of the month.
조금 어지러워 날 좀 붙잡아줘
가슴만은 따뜻해
난 거짓말은 잘 못 해
사실은 나 많이 외로운 것 같아 들어줘
please don’t leave me baby
love is like a movie 모두 뻔해
나도 그렇게 널 사랑하길 원해
늘 새롭게 남자답게
내 모든 걸 가져도 돼
내 시간은 너에게로 흘러
늦기 전에 나를 받아줘
네 마음에 상처 아무는 대로
I’ll be your man 누구보다도
내 마지막 사랑이 되도록
if he does have one criticism of his own choice, however, it’s trapping himself into an entire english language rap whilst knowing full well that his english pronunciation still leaves a reasonable amount to be desired. asking for help isn’t as easy as it’d been a year ago when he’d last needed to perfect the foreign language, but he doesn’t let it get him down. after all, as long as it’s close— there are far more pressing things to worry about ( like dancing ), especially when there’s plenty of korean rap to redeem himself in.
thankfully, it’s not that bad on the day. a little breathless, like any point in the song where he hasn’t gotten a breather in a while, but smooth enough. he doesn’t stumble over his syllables or his feet— even remembers to smile whenever he’s a little closer to the camera or he catches baek jiyoung’s eyes. after a while, feeling his body move instinctively without any glaring mistakes, it comes naturally, lingers on his lips as he dances, sings, raps— performs.
before it’s too late, girl, you better stop fronting
I’m one in a million, limited edition
no kidding, you’ll be wishing you could be my mrs.
sooner or later, girl, you’ll want that position
when I walk up in the club, all the girls stare at me
I’m the only thing they see
and the guys wish they were me
‘cause I’m fresh and clean from my head to my feet
I’m the definition of the word masterpiece
뻔한 엔딩은 bye bye like
연애혁명 공주와 왕자
the chorus is undoubtedly his favourite part of the song, if only because it’s repeated each time, not requiring any further learning after the first. truthfully, he is especially fond of the opening leading up to the first chorus. it’s a shame when he thinks about it, because it’s the only bit he doesn’t really enjoy, too busy worrying about how it’s going and how it will continue to go. the future— it seems seungcheol has a habit of worrying about it. he snaps back to the present day, praying that his awareness of the situation doesn’t cause him to mess up.
love is like a movie 모두 뻔해
나도 그렇게 널 사랑하길 원해
늘 새롭게 남자답게

( it doesn’t. just about. he almost brings the wrong hand up to brush his thumb against his lip but stops himself just before he can. he misses a fraction of a beat as he corrects himself, but he hopes it isn’t too noticeable. )
in the absence of a hat atop his head, he straightens his bow tie, grinning as he moves into the second half of the chorus. everything will be fine. it will, not only here, in the remaining minute of the performance, but the future, too. ( it’s far harder to convince himself of the latter, but one step at a time. ) of course, one good performance doesn’t mean he’ll always do well, and one confident performance doesn’t mean they’ll always utilise the full extent of his lacking charisma, but knowing that all these things are possible sure makes his heart a little lighter.
it’s strange that whilst performing alone in the first time he feels like he really has a place in convex. before now, he hadn’t felt like he deserved it, but now he wonders if perhaps there is a reason baek jiyoung chose him that isn’t just to see him suffer. maybe. he supposes one day he’ll found out. for now, he sings the bridge, letting his body relax for a moment to ensure he has the proper strength to hit each note.
우리 둘의 만남은 어디까지일까
난 똑같은 실수는 다시 하지 않아
move your body right now 날 두고 가지 마
do it again do it again do it again yeah
the final chorus is over in a blink, and he bows once for the end of the chorus and again once the music has faded fully to silence. a breathless “thank you!” follows as he straightens his bow tie once more and flattens his suit jacket against his chest.

momentarily, he wonders when the first episode of their debut project this is for will air, when this performance will be out for the world to see, and then basks in the when that has replaced his previous ifs.
taeyong wonders if the staff, his group members, expected him to go with a femme dance and song, something that’s soft and unassuming and innocent.
he figures that this, though, will be one of those times that he surprises everyone and go with what they think he’s capable of but has never seen -- something so starkly different, chic, cool that they’re all shaken to the core.
of course, he’s being a bit overdramatic, too theatrical with his thoughts -- as always. but it’s always great to dream, be dramatic occasionally.
he wasn’t going to do this song at first -- but after milling through his thoughts, thinking about it for a period of time, he finally came to the conclusion that this song would be perfect to demonstrate what he’s truly capable of, that he belongs in this group. he also had chosen this song as while the technicality of the moves are difficult, it’s more of a smooth and sharp dancing style ( which he prefers ) instead of an all-out rigorous routine, which can showcase his improved vocals somewhat perfectly.
he’s thankful for his intensive training schedule for once -- all those nights of strained vocal chords and tired lungs are going to pay off, will keep paying off.
although he sees himself as the least experienced vocalist on the vocal team, he’s come a long way -- he’s figured out how to harmonize properly with the other members, as well as how to decently dance whilst singing. while his voice can still be shaky during dancing, it’s not at all bad ( at least, he thinks). there’s just room for improvement, as there always is.
네게 눈을 뜬 순간
깊이 빠져버린 듯
그 어떤 것보다 나쁘게
you keep runnin’ in my mind
난 너를 가두고
움직일 수 없게 만들어
( the moment i saw you
i fell in deep
worse than anything else
you keep running in my mind
i confine you
so that you can’t move )
the choreography is difficult, but taeyong can manage it just fine. the fact that he’s singing as well increases the difficulty, but his lungs can manage just fine, too. it’s not the best, but it’s decent, and he just hopes he looks cool with how his expressions changes from move to move.
너를 가지고 싶어
i’ll be alright by the time
나의 손을 잡아
tell me what you want
tell me what you want ye
( i want to have you
i’ll be alright by the time
hold my hand
tell me what you want
tell me what you want ye )
he remembers the process of learning both the lyrics and the choreography at once -- slightly overwhelming, difficult to say the least, but here he is now, doing the damn thing. hours upon hours of practice both in the studios and even at the dorm ( he hopes he didn’t annoy any of his group members, but everyone else had to prepare songs for this project television show too, so he doubts, but still hopes ) has come to this one performance that he won’t even be able to see until later, broadcasted to thousands of potential fans.
overwhelming, once again, but he’s okay with it if it gets him somewhere over the rainbow.
baby please don’t go
벗어나려 해도 반복되는 꿈
날 집어 삼켜
( baby please don’t go
even if i try to escape, a repeating dream
eat me up )
he thinks about how weird it’ll be to see this played back on a television -- he’ll remember this choreography, the way he’s singing. it’ll be documented publicly, archived seemingly forever. seeing a past version of himself on a screen, it’s like the plot of a science fiction movie in reality -- it won’t feel real, but it definitely will be, and they’ll all laugh and have a good time after all this is done and over with.
which he hopes it lasts forever -- the laughing and having a good time. he really hopes it’ll be like that later on.
the bridge of a song is always his favorite part -- and this song is no different. it also indicates a slowing down of the choreography, a time to catch his breath and focus on singing for a few bars. not much, but it’s there -- and while he’s obviously tired due to the technicality of the dance, he tries his best not to sound like he’s struggling, not to sound like he’s heaving as he sings.
나를 보는 너의 눈이
붉게 물드는 순간 oh
나도 모르게 숨이 멈춰버려 난
폭풍이 몰아치고
홀로 헤매이는 밤
( your eyes that are looking at me
the moment they tinge with red oh
unknowingly, i stop breathing
a storm is stirred up
lost by myself in the night )
he decides to dance more instead of attempt to do the high note -- he knows that he’s still not the best at high notes, but he makes up for it by singing the other adlibs that signify the closing of the song.
he bows to the staff and steps off set. he breathes hard, just in the slightest, but smiles -- every time he’s on set, every time he has to prepare for a convex thing, he smiles. because this is what he’s truly destined to do -- he feels it in his heart.
event: february evaluation
location: sphere dance studio
date: february 21st // 3:07pm
song: there for you - troye sivan // dance (0:19 - 1:00) // vocal (entire song)
note: short dance clip (tobias ellehammer choreography) inspired song length dance ic
as is typical ten style, he chooses a troye sivan song - because everyone knows ten is the biggest troye sivan fan around. he’d covered a lot of them in the past, but knew he’d never done this one, despite having choreographed a dance for it in his free practise time weeks ago. all he had to do was incorporate room for vocals into the dance, which he hoped wouldn’t be too hard after many weeks of intensive live singing training.
so he spent some weeks working on what he was going to show, making sure his singing was stable throughout the dance, keeping the dance easier on the parts where the song required more vocal power, and putting in a hell of a lot more impact into the breaks in the vocals, using skills he’d gained over the past couple months, pleased with how he could visibly see how much he’d progressed in terms of his skills and especially his vocal ability.
when he’d first become a trainee his singing was weak to say the least. he’d worked and worked to improve, deciding he’d rather go the vocalist route than rapper route, seeing as it definitely fit his image better (at least that’s what he thought). so, going from a mediocre singer, to being able to sing pretty strongly while also dancing at the same time gave him an intense sense of accomplishment.
he was pretty excited to show what he’d prepared - for once looking forward to the evaluation, instead of fearing it.
the day came, and he waited for his turn to be called up to film what he’d prepared, sipping at his water frequently as the nerves began to get to him. of course he’d be nervous, when it came to it, but it didn’t negate the fact that he was pleased with himself and what he thought was a performance that showed his abilities best - it wasn’t too vocal heavy, yet it was enough to show he could sing well. the dance was, as he’d admit to himself, one of the best he’d ever choreographed, he’d like to think.
as he’s called up he hands over the music, taking his position in front of the lights and camera and waits for them to tell him to start. his hearts hammering against his ribcage - it hadn’t fully sunk it yet that this performance would be the first thing the public saw of him, alongside his silly teaser video with hyun and his modelling shots. he hoped their first impression of his skills would be a good one, and that he might gain some fans from this, as he liked to think it would be one of his best performances so far.
so, the music starts and despite his thundering heartbeat he begins his performance - it starts of slower, the dance barely a dance to begin the song - he’s centred the ‘drop’ at the first chorus. so as he begins to sing the movement resides in his arms and head, small, yet fluid motions that have sharp landings on the subtle beats, complimenting the appealing bass of the song. his fingers snap to the snapping beat in the beginning, moving to compliment the faster beat with a quick step as his eyes remain focused on the camera, one hand in his pocket, the other rubbing through his hair to give the song a little bit of attitude.
until the chorus comes and he hits the first beat with a jump into a larger movement, leg swinging out and head tipping back to contrast the smaller movements of the beginning of the song. using his hands to his advantage he’s placed in some vogueing moves an old friend taught him back before he was a trainee, before he hits the ‘there for you’ lyrics with a deep gaze into the camera, a smirk and a loose gesture, hoping it’ll do just as intended, and draw some fans in, making the whole performance feel as if he’s singing just for the person watching, no matter how many there may be
then comes the climax, where he puts in his full energy, the vocals falling by the wayside for a while as he moves to the music as he’d always done - it’s second nature and he goddamn loves it.
but then it’s right back into the vocals and here’s where all the training came in - learning to control his voice and keep it steady, even when he’s moving, or when he’s put so much power just seconds before into his dance, he has to re-route that power into stabilising his voice, finding a balance and sticking his whole heart into it.
once again the dance is slower to match the pace of the song, hitting each beat with subtle, but sharp movements and putting his strength back into his voice, and the feeling of the song, making the people who watch this feel as if it’s just for them, that no matter what he’s going to be a good idol for them, that he’s going to stand by his fans, and hope they stand by him just as loyally.
the vocals rise when the dance softens, and vice versa, till he nears the end and all power he’d slowly lost throughout the song comes surging back with a renewed fury. it’s always been that way, his belief that even if you’ve lost all strength, you can’t end weakly persisting. he’s tired by this point, ready to sit down and gulp down a few bottles of water, yet he knows he cannot leave the song on a weak note, and he finds that energy to force right into the last bit of the song.
the bridge passes, and the chorus nears through the ‘runnin, runnin’ lyrics, music building and energy rising, until that beat drops and a grin breaks out on ten’s lips because this is what he loves - feeling so very tired, yet still putting every shred of energy he has left into putting on his best show, making people know he’s never going to give a shoddy performance just because he’s tired.
he’s diligent, and he hopes it shows through the power he continues to put in. the hardest moves are in the end, wanting to leave off on a high note, making people remember him, his face, his name, how his body mingles with the music like the water lapping at the sand on the beach. his moves are smooth, yet powerful, hitting each shape, each little flick of the wrist or turn of the head on the beats.
then the final beat drop and his moves are still as sharp as can be, small moves intertwined with bigger ones to draw even more attention to them; the fist to his chin, a simple nod and foot tap to compliment a beat, between a wide armed and spinning move. the smile won’t leave his face because despite this being an evaluation, something the public will see soon, it’s still incredibly thrilling whenever he dances - because nothing else matters. he can’t see the people watching, or the judgement or scrutiny, he can just feel the beat.
the levels change more in the ending, move floor movements, until the end comes and the contrast his beginning pose this time he’s sat on the ground, facing in the opposite direction to the one he started in fingers pointing ahead of him, and his head turned to the camera, the smile fixed on his lips.
the music finishes, and his breathing, heavy and laboured in the only sound left, and ten couldn’t be happier in that moment.
