Zadrian & Sylvie | The devil and the swan

Sylvie wandered over the black market, looking for certain supplies she needed at the nursery. After the battle they were low on stock on a lot of things and since the shield was up around the base there were only certain hours one could leave to do things like this. Most weren’t allowed to leave at all. Sylvie had permission as a nurse to go out and get what they needed. Even though New York was on edge, the black market had always been a sort of neutral place if one was careful enough. There were stuff there that both sides needed after all and it wouldn’t do anyone any good to start fights here. That’s why the Black market, next to the graveyard, was one of the relatively safer places of New York. Even though it didn’t have a written agreement of neutral grounds such as the graveyard, it was much like a gentlemen’s agreement. Though when Sylvie saw Zadrian there, staring right at her, she was overcome by fear. She didn’t think him to be the person to go out for his own supplies, he would likely send people for that. So why was he here now? And why was he looking at her like she was the prey, again.

Zadrian & Kyle | The fourth brother

Kyle had turned out to be quite the creation due to the combination of the powers of the Dougal twins. They didn’t have to constantly use their powers on him to make him to their bidding. It wasn’t like he was obeying them all the time but more like something had created an illusion in his mind in combination with wanting to please them that caused him to grow fiercely loyal towards the Dougals. Especially towards Orion and Zadrian. Kyle was still Kyle in many ways, just a little darker and with different motives and values. Those matched those of the Dougals now. It was like he was the fifth sibling and the fourth brother in this scenario and he was sitting at one of their outrageously delicious and luxary dinners. Sitting there eating rather bored as family matters were dicussed as if he had heard nothing else his whole life. “Akron, stop being a little shit.” he hissed to the youngest brother as he did something that annoyed Kyle, they couldn’t get along all that great. He was pretty sure Akron felt threatened by him. Kyle continued to stuff food in his mouth while briefly looking at the oldest Dougal who was talking.

Zadrian & Aurora | A storm we started

Aurora was running out of breath but she was so close now, she couldn’t give up. She had been running through the S.H.I.E.L.D. base trying not to get caught. Everyone wanted her head. It had been chaos. A friend had tried to hide her, Mason had tried to retrieve her. And then Theon, from her point of view, had let her down in the worst way possible. Thinking that she would have betrayed them was the highest form of betrayal to her. And she had realized that there was only one outcome. Something she had probably already realized for a few days but only now dared to admit to herself. She would return home, to Hydra and her family and never leave them again. It’s where she belonged. And those who had broken her heart could expect the same treatment from her. The Dougals weren’t raised to be forgiving and she didn’t take this let down lighty. Like she didn’t take anything lightly but always way to personal and emotional. She had lost Mason along the way and was on her own now. She had managed to make it outside the S.H.I.E.L.D. base which was the furtherst she had gotten so far. Once outside she realized the chaos of it all for the first time. The fighting people, the screaming, the lights, the panic. They almost overloaded all of her senses. She almost got desperate. How as she going to get through this fighting crowd? There was no time to think. She had to keep moving. So she started running again, avoiding where the fight was the thickest and ready to drop anyone with her power that came to close. That’s when she saw him. “Zadrian!” she called out and ran towards him.

Zadrian & Akron | This is war

Akron was running through the hallways like his life depended on it. Perhaps in a certain way it did. “Move!” he yelled while pushing a random Hydra agent aside as he ran by. Where the bloody hell was Orion when you needed him? Though perhaps it was for the best. Orion might be the most reasonable and smartest of the Dougals but it was Zadrian who would understand the true impact of this event. Akron speeded straight to Zadrian’s room and once he arrived he threw the door open. “She is gone.” was the first thing he said. And if it was Shield who had her it would be an act of war and Akron would stop at nothing to burn that base down to the ground and pull his sister out.

Zadrian & Aurora | The animal inside

Aurora didn’t know how long she had been cooked up in this room. She did know that something was terribly wrong since she had been shifting over and over again. And Zadrian hadn’t come to see her. And she was hungry. And naked. Because she constantly shifted and with that she ripped out of her clothes. And she only had so many in this room. She was on the floor, covered with a blanket. Breathing heavy because of the former shift. She was exhausted. Something was wrong with her powers. For a moment she thought she had been shifting into a dog like Theon until she had realized it was the pattern of a tiger on her claws. It was freaking her out so much she didn’t even hear the door.

Zadrian & Akron | Blood is thicker

Akron had always been a bit afraid of Zadrian. Perhaps afraid wasn’t the right word, perhaps intimidated was a better one. He looked so much like their father after all. But right now Akron felt none of that as he stormed into the room of his oldest brother. Not when it concerned the life of his favorite sibling.

“Where is she?” he said while throwing the room door open. “Where the fuck is she, Zadrian?”

Zadrian & Aurora | You're in my veins

Aurora had decided. She would leave this place. She loved her brothers but they were her addiction. She couldn't live without them but she should be able to. Orion was playing his own games with Sebastian, Akron was losing himself in their old life style and Zadrian...Zadrian was and always would be her poison. He would always be her lover, her weakness, her fear as much as her joy. He would always have a grip on her and that's why she needed to leave his side. She had never discovered who she truly was without their influence. Theon had showed her a love could be good and pure without ultimations, manipulation and Aurora was desperate for that unconditional love that she had never received in her life before. 

She was damaged and her youth had traumatized her but this was something she did not realize herself. That people might think her relationship with Zadrian unusual or unhealthy she thought to be jealousy. The fact Shield had treated them so hostile must have been out of fear. Zadrian had been right, family was everthing and perhaps Aurora’s dramatic departure was nothing more than another cry of attention directed towards her brothers. But maybe somewhere there truly was a girl trying to break free from her golden cage.

Aurora had to see Zadrian for one last time before she would leave the Hydra grounds. Of course she couldn’t let him know that she was saying goodbye but she could do so in her own way. It was strange that the more final her leaving this place became the more she seemed to forget the reasons why she was angry with him. Leaving his side, her family, felt as if it was unnatural. It had been the one thing she had always been so sure of. They were the most important thing in each others life. They did not bend. They did not break. And now she was going to break something. And it was terrifying. For a moment she was afraid that if she would face Zadrian now she wouldn’t be able to leave. Perhap she was looking for a reason to stay. But she knocked on his room door anyway. Because she knew she would regret it if she didn’t.
