This a Conway Stewart Number 28 lever fill fountain pen with the eye catching Tiger’s Eye celluloid, c. 1949-1955. It's just over 5 inches long and has a pointed black cap top jewel and gold filled trim. The washer type clip has the Conway Stewart logo stamped at the top face and a diamond shaped tip. The lever tab is stamped with the Conway Stewart logo inside a diamond. The trim is bright but shows typical signs of light plating loss. The barrel is stamped Conway Stewart 28 over MADE IN ENGLAND. The 14 karat gold nib is stamped Conway over Stewart over 14CT GOLD over 5.

The Turing-Welchman Pen

A limited edition of 211 pens to celebrate the achievement of Alan Turing and Gordon Welchman who created the Turing-Welchman Bombe machine used to break Enigma-enciphered messages during the Second World War.

The top of the pen is made in sterling silver to resemble the Bombe’s drum with the 26 letters of the alphabet etched into the surface. It rotates like the actual Bombe drum.

On the wide sterling silver cap band is the word “Victory”, the name of the first Bombe, and the UK hallmarks as a stamp of its quality.

Engraved on the barrel are the words “The Turing- Welchman Pen” to keep alive the memory of these most ingenious men whose secret activities during the Second World War helped save Europe from Nazi tyranny, and also triggered the start of the computer era.

And there is a secret compartment to hide your secret message – unscrew the barrel end, and there is a compartment to hold a small scroll of paper – your message to yourself, or to your loved one.

Conway Stewart No. 22 Floral 1955-56

The Conway Stewart No. 22 Floral lever fill fountain pen is one of those pens that appears on many collectors “most wanted” list. Steve Hull notes in his book Fountain Pens for the Million, The History of Conway Stewart 1905-2005 that the pen was released to coincide with the company’s 1955 Golden Jubilee, having been founded fifty years earlier in 1905. It's noted for the design on the cap and barrel, decorated with red roses, yellow, and blue flowers on an ivory colored background. It’s just over 4 3/4 inches long and the cap band has a cut out pattern similar to a Greek Key design. There also was a controversy over how many of these pens were made.

Conway Stewart Capulet Sea Green

Limited edition of 6 pens named after Shakespeare’s play Romeo & Juliet. The pen features a genuine Conway Stewart stainless steel nib or an 18ct gold Flag nib.

The Conway Stewart Capulet Sea Green is a medium-sized pen designed for everyday practicality, with slim lines and perfectly balanced light weight. The Capulet pen range was the lowest priced Conway Stewart fountain pens when first launched in 2013, and so were the entry model to the whole British brand. As a consequence they sold in large numbers as an ideal everyday pen, or for someone new to fountain pen world. Many were bought as gifts and are much loved as a consequence For Conway Stewart collectors and connoisseurs; these pens represent possibly the final opportunity to add a Capulet to your collection.

The pen is made from hand poured acrylic resin which is highly polished and has shimmering shades of pearlescent to form a backdrop of swirling green colours. The Sea Green is bracketed with a highly polished black cap top and barrel end giving this pen a classic look. When the cap is posted, this bracketed theme is replicated with a black nib holder. The cap is fitted with a 23ct gold-plated Conway Stewart clip which compliments this colour and adds real distinction to this wonderful pen.

Each pen is housed in an original Conway Stewart black leather presentation box which doubles as an elegant desk display.

This is a Conway Stewart 570 fountain pen in an iridescent lilac acrylic c. 1960s.   It's a 4 1/2 inch long lever filler with all gold plate trim, though the trim shows heavy plating loss.  Some sources date this model from 1964 to 1972.  It came in several iridescent colors including blue, red and green, called "Lumina" by some collectors.  The acrylic has a strong luminosity from dark to light that changes when seen from different angles. The barrel is stamped Conway Stewart 570 over HOLDER FOREIGN, indicating the cap and barrel were sourced outside the UK, some collectors believe West Germany.  The 14 karat gold nib is stamped Conway over 14CT GOLD.

This is a Conway Stewart 550 Dinkie fountain pen in a marbled green with brown flecks and veins casein c. 1952-1962. It's a 4 1/16 inch long lever filler with all gold plate trim, though the trim shows moderate plating loss. According to conwaystewartpens.co.uk, there are three versions of the 550. This would be the latest version, with a larger clip that is separate from the cap top ring and the barrel imprint has DINKIE on the top line. Late Dinkies came in nine marbled casein colors. The barrel is stamped DINKIE 550 over the Conway Stewart logo. The 14 karat gold nib is stamped Conway over Stewart over 14CT GOLD.
