Earlier this week on awildflowerspirit.com I wrote about self care during the holiday/transition to Winter season. Here’s some key points: A) it’s alright to spend time in reflection. November for me has been a period of transition. I’ve been a little more inward but I’ve been focusing on creating, I’ve decided I can create my own traditions and spend (quality) time with those who understand me and use communication as a form of growth. B) check in with others. This point forward can either cause burnout for some, it may others feel isolated or fear they are missing out on something be it because of loss, feeling they don’t “fit the norm”, or lack of community. It costs nothing to be kind and extend a check in just to make sure everyone is doing well. C) don’t pressure yourself. Don’t think your life has to look perfectly curated or match someone’s expectations. Search for warmth and what heals you. If you need time for yourself or to be present with others then follow that. Ultimately, cultivate what heals you 💟.
