After getting home from doing some chores they decided to suprise expresso so they quietly make their way to his room he's quietly working at his desk so they take this as a they didnt realize he was super busy so they hug him from behind causing him to spill the potion he was making without realizing he lashes out on y/n, then realizes what he had just done before he could say anything y/n ran out of the room crying (dramatic lol)

summary: you wanted to show some affection to your dearest espresso cookie, but without realizing it, you messed up his work, causing him to yell. when you run back to your bedroom, feeling bad for interrupting, how will espresso cookie react?

warnings: physical touch, yelling, maybe ooc(?)

Finally, you were home. You sighed in relief. You were finally done running errands, which meant that you could finally see your husband, Espresso Cookie, once again.

You happily walked towards his home office. Quietly, you opened the door and made your way over to him, preparing to surprise him. Suddenly, you wrapped your arms around him.

The unexpected contact caused Espresso Cookie jump, consequently making him drop the materials in his hands and ruining the experiment he was working on. He groaned. "Seriously?! It took ALL DAY to get to this far! Do you even realize how hard it is to get some of this stuff? And now it's all gone to waste!"

His sudden yell caught you off guard, causing you to step back. Feeling guilty for what you caused, you quickly scuttle out of the room, muttering an "I'm sorry!" before you shut the door, leaving him alone in that room for the rest of the evening.

Late into the night, Espresso Cookie finally walks out into the hallway and makes his way towards your bedroom, where he knew you would be. Gently, he knocks on the door before entering quietly.

He makes his way over to the bed and carefully sits down next to you. He turns to look at you, only to be met with your tear-blotched face and your eyes that looked anywhere but him.

"Hey..I'm sorry I yelled at you. I didn't mean to make you cry. Really, I'm sorry," he gently whispers an apology. You finally turn to face him. "You sure you're sorry?" you quietly ask, still feeling terribly guilty about earlier.

"I'm sure. I really am. I never intended to yell, nor did I want to make you cry," he says as he carefully places his hand on your cheek. You close your eyes as you lean into his touch, "Okay."

Well this took a while-

this took...hours. I wanted to do a cute illustration of Espresso in the snow- It looks like someone...someone who may be taking a little nap somewhere in this image, may have nocked some snow off the tunnel onto him. and up ahead theres only more lights to distract him from his work. How's he supposed to get anything done? I did some photobashing with this one!

I'm trying to make it rotate but it's not letting me rotate it properly so I guess you get it sideways instead, sorry about that- Even so I think it turned out really good and I'm so prou dof how it turned out! The background was done with photobashing, using images specifically from unsplash I checked to make sure were for free use and modification before using of course.
