One thing that struck out to me when I saw Sugarfly Cookie was the armor on her legs

They don't seem to match anything about her at all. She's very delicate looking with a lot of yellows, yet there are steel boots on her that clash against everything.

And that got me thinking: she's a butterfly, right? She can fly, like Pavlova Cookie and Eternal Sugar Cookie. But, her wings seem droopy. From what we've seen, she hasn't spread her wings yet. Can she even use them? And that got me thinking again.

She's so loyal to Eternal Sugar Cookie. Like... weirdly so, considering Eternal Sugar's other minion seems quite rebelious and doesn't want to be there. And she's so weirdly peaceful, too. What if Eternal Sugar did something to her? Maybe Sugarfly Cookie tried to escape one day and, instead of turning her to stone, she took away her ability to fly by adding weights to her legs and messing with her wings? Maybe she even went so far as to mess with her emotions, which is why she seems so peaceful.

This is also backed up by how scared Pavlova Cookie was when Eternal Sugar Cookie mentioned "re-educating" him. He's probably seen what she did with Sugarfly Cookie. We know he's afraid of becoming a statue, but what if he's also afraid of not being able to leave the Garden at all? Despite being stuck here, he still has the option to leave the Garden and explore a bit. What if Sugarfly Cookie doesn't have that luxury? What if he's scared he'll become like her, in that, even if he doesn't become stone, he won't be able to leave the Garden at all?

Thinking about Beasts redemption, in a way that doesn't revert them back into virtues/change them completely to be "good". Because currently they're just extreme ends of said aspects.

Apathy isn't necessarily a bad thing, in fact through apathy Dark Cacao finds peace and still holds his resolution at the end. Instead of full erasure of will, apathy could be a part of resolution. To not get swayed easily by temptation or by negative or positive experience. In a way that is also willpower and resolution. Volition.

Destruction makes room for creation and abundance itself. Wildfire makes room for more to grow. It's a cycle, life and death and beyond all, change. Think of evolution, it involves life and death over and over, yet it keeps changing. Regardless of what's been destroyed by time, we preserve it through history and learn from it.

Deceit could be seen as something that isn't the truth or not real. The existence of white lies is already a good side of it. But another that I think about is tales. We make stories to deliver a message, we create fantasy, make up tales of people/characters that never existed and yet convincing enough for us to relate to. In a way, there's a grey area where imagination/illusion/vision are not true to the real world but can be made true through the act of creation. (Writing, drawing, etc) in some way related to creativity.

Sloth could be an act of rest, recharging and healing. But also stagnation and inaction. Rest is undeniably an important aspect of life. Even those with passion will need to rest, working all the time will lead to burnout.

Silence is a unique one since I feel mixed about it. Silence could be referred to as silencing others / opposition. But standing in silence is usually a form of solidarity in mourning. Silence is needed to hear each other, to allow freedom of speech. In a way.

So in my conclusion:

apathy > Integrity of self

destruction > [death feeds life] / [redistribution of matter / energy]

deceit > Illusion / Imagination / vision / dream [something unreal made true through the act of creation]

sloth > rest / healing / recovery

silence > to listen / company / confidant

Most certainly not the best interpretation, but I think of the theme of the beast as a neutral thing instead of outright negative. Just like how truth can hurt as much as it could help. It's all a cycle.

to hear a Soul Jam, you must be aligned with its Virtue

example, White Lily never heard the Light of Freedom before her episode. Pure Vanilla could hear both the Light of Freedom and the Light of Truth. Shadow Milk can hear the Light of Deceit.

they've confirmed that the Soul Jams are their own sapient beings

aka the Witches and the Soul Jams are separate beings

meaning the Witches' disappearances weren't what caused the Soul Jams to go silent

it was the fact that the Emissaries had turned away from their Virtues by picking only one side of said Virtue to represent

meaning, the second the Soul Jams went silent for the Emissaries, the Emissaries were already corrupted.

this is the first on-screen appearance of the Salt of Solidarity (BY12, cutscene#13). he says nothing, it is silence. you don't waste a whole text box on an ellipses unless that silence is important, unless you're trying to say something with that silence. what are the writers trying to tell us here?

if you look closely at the bottom of his sprite, you can see he's already corrupted. those are the SAME corruption particles we see on the other beasts as when they're in the middle of corrupting during their dominions/when they do their scary corrupted face.

the order of events isn't, "Soul Jam stops talking, Emissary holds out until they inevitably corrupt."

the order of events is, "Emissary corrupts by choosing one side of their Virtue, the whole Soul Jam stops talking to them, Emissary forsakes cookiekind."

Anyways I’m gonna try to break down my thoughts on the new comic thingy and some of the website

First of all. They DELIBERATELY made GingerBrave the one fighting DE here. Also, look at the little sparkle/light on his candy cane. I might be insane but also IT COULD MEAN SOMETHING (Soul Jam Soul Jam Soul Jam Soul Jam)

Ok now onto the comic

I almost missed it at first, but IT STARTS THOSE OMINOUS FUCKING OVEN DOORS. They’re in the dark and honestly pretty foreboding. I like how this kind of shows that it’s been haunting him the whole time, even though he’s tried his best to push most of it out of his memories.

In this image, HE is the one that is in the front, and the one who is the most ready to fight them. The foreground focuses on HIM, even though they could have easily made PV the focus.

Yet another instance of GingerBrave being a beacon of Hope and Light for his friends… screams

HOLY SHIT. WE’RE DONE FOR

In this image, EVERYONE else is ready to fight. Some of them are even smiling, and they’re all prepared for battle.

Except for him.

HE is the only one in danger, HE is the only one not prepared to fight, HE is the only one who is scared, HE is the only one falling (to despair.) And where is he falling? INTO AN OVEN FULL OF FIRE.

And if you’ll recall, where did the comic start? THE OVEN. I believe that this is DIRECTLY showing the concept that he can’t escape his fate. No matter how far he ran, how hard he tried to escape it, just look at where he ended up. Exactly where he started. Because if you run away from something long enough, you’ll come full circle and find yourself right where you started. (Indirectly supporting my Ultimate Cookie = cannibal theory)

This whole thing is explicitly about fate, there’s too many examples for me to list them all. In specific, GINGERBRAVE is the one directly tied to fate. This was said by both Elder Faerie and Wind Archer.

Also, I couldn’t help but be reminded of these two images of White Lily, who is also very tied to fate and more importantly, the knowledge of the Witches.

Anyways he’s so done for he genuinely might die with how much the focus is on him. None of this is even involving the Ultimate Cookie yet💔

Anyhow Silent Salt Cookie did not appear but there was some interesting stuff that might tie back to him (yes, might. It's not a lot but I'm insane enough for it). Here's some speculation about him, his costume story, Nether Queen Cookie and the river of oblivion.

We know Nether Queen Cookie is searching for a successor, as she wants to retire. We also know White Lily is a candidate, so eventually she may or may not become herself queen of the nether realm.

As you know, in the costume story (wich are often alternate universes) Silent Salt is the one who guides Cookies across the river of oblivion, wich also happen to look quite different (Black waters and white flames versus clear pastel colors and flowers floating on the surface). He so happens to have a gaping hole in his chest (in the place of his souljam), and according to dialogue was however once a mortal.

I'd wager that the flowers for the eternal farewell costume set takes place in a alternate universe where Nether Queen Cookie chooses Silent Salt Cookie as her successor after his death, or at least employs (?) him somewhat. Depending on how episode 8 ends, (wether White Lily leaves or stays in the Nether Realm), this scenario could possibly fit in the main timeline as well.

On an unrelated side note to pin on my Silent Salt insanity page, I saw this piece of dialogue in the new story, and I might have a guess or two as to what this might be about...

seen so many people trying to desperately pin some sort of blame on Salt. His fault, left the army without a leader for too long! His fault, the beasts needed him most and he wasn’t there! His fault, because…? Idk bro

He was “leaving the army without a leader” because he was discussing plans with EF on how to turn the world into a place more equal. Yk, cause his lands and people are majorly oppressed and this was going to be THE big break they needed to fight back against the higher power

He “wasn’t there for the other beasts”? What?? Why is it on him to babysit his buddies and talk them out of murder, hello? The beasts made their choice, some more valid than others, but still made their choice. ain’t no way that can be put on salt for “not checking up on them”. Did we forget he was deep in his own hell? Babies were straight up dying in his lands it was so bad, and he’s already taking a big risk leaving them unattended to continue his plan with Elder Faerie (which is solely to benefit the ones struggling), why would he just go and visit his pals even if there was cause for concern??

idk, sometimes i forget there’s a lot of kids in this fandom that sometimes have takes that are a bit too out there. kinda like the insane amount of demonisation towards Dark Cacao (likely bc he’s the parent in the dynamic), but Dark Choco is just a “precious little angel who ain’t do nothing wrong??” (aka the one they can better relate to) 😭

can we just be okay with the fact that some of the beasts made bad choices and are bad people. not much redeeming for Spice regardless of the fact that he went insane, Flour’s *kinda* a victim and is going about her “help” in the wrong way but I guess sorta good intentions? Sugar’s just a more sadistic version of Flour but I dunno much about her, and Shadow Milk,,, yall just let the twink be bad. it’s okay. we can have evil twinks.

I keep having this thought about what we learned about founts corruption... so you know the theory on shadow milk being the one to spread the rumour that there was treasure in mystic flours cocoon?

What if that was a similar situation ad the ones we were shown? Where his intentions were never to have someone harm her-

I genuinely think that Hollyberry Cookie always talked so lightly and cheerfully about her clear addiction to Berry juice (they call it juice, but we all know it's alcohol) is because, if she's lighthearted and treats it as "just a way she's having fun and letting loose", her friends and other cookies won't worry about her, and then she could ignore that she actually has a problem.

Hollyberry Cookie has MAJOR avoidance and coping issues. She only became an alcoholic after one of her closest friends died, and it also gave us the scene where people who weren't insane about analyzing her went "Oh shit, this is actually a problem", where she was continously drinking and her son was trying to get her to stop. I didn't grow up in an alcoholic household, but I know that scene must've resonsted with a lot of people. But, she turned to alcohol because she had no other way to cope.

She couldn't handle dealing with queenly stuff, so she passed on the kingdom to Royal Berry while she went off to Beast-Yeast to avoid her issues. Even when she heard that one of her granddaughter's was taken by a dragon, she didn't go back, even though she was heartbroken, because in her mind, the best way to cope is to avoid it and distract yourself.

Even now in the game, she still chooses to avoid and drink. It's become a joke on how much Wildberry has to stop her from drinking, but he really must be worried about her. She took him in when he was young, right? Do you ever think he had a moment similar to Royal Berry? Where he had to watch his caretaker get blackout drunk instead of dealing with her issues? But, she doesn't pay any mind to this because, to her, "It isn't a big deal."

Tldr; Hollyberry doesn't take her drinking problem seriously bcuz that would mean admitting she actually has a problem, and she doesn't want her friends and family to worry.
