Cook Books are the Monographs of Regional Cooking . We have a good collection of them written in English and Malayalam . My grand mother's from the both sides never used a cookbook . They only cooked regional cuisines to their region where the knowledge came from their mothers and mother in law's. By 1950 s scenario have changed and lot of cookbooks were published in Malayalam and regional languages. Then the cookbooks in regional cuisine written in English . We are going to do a video introduction on cookbooks in our collection and it includes an introduction appreciation and usefulness of it . Some of them will be out of prints . Some authors are little known Gems .
