Gonna tell my kids pets that this is Tara/Bhima/Niladevi/IDK anymore:
Might even go around calling Her Balarupini Tara to confuse people lol
This is a Human version of Padma dressed up as what should be in Her world Devi Neelkantha (based on a combination of Tara, Bhima, Niladevi, Kushmanda, Aditi)
Her whole body shouldn't be blue, but it didn't look as good otherwise...
Almost had a mental breakdown with the hands
LMAO CONFUSING THE KIDS THE BEST THING
THIS LOOKS SO COOL!!!!
She legit looks like an actual goddess why not start a cult on name fr??? (Like those shopne dekha diye chhilo kinda shit lol)
I like the details, those blue flowers on her hair and even the minute kolka around the alta and especially the skulls.
Ohhh Padma is dressing up for some reason or just because she wants to??? It's cool tho! She also dresses up as Godesses lol
But she looks good in blue tho, which parts are supposed to be blue anyway
All in one day, I have had Telltale, Gearbox, and Borderlands all retweet my piano cover of the tftbl main theme, been told by JEJ, the writer of said theme from Bay Area Sound, that they love me, have had said video posted on Telltale’s Facebook page to promote the Playstation Plus sale, and “have brought tears to the eyes” of a Telltale employee.
so recently, i got a few people who were really interested in the fractal magic, so i'm inspired to get some more stuff down, flesh out more worlds, it'll be under a read more if you don't wanna see it.
I've been wondering how legends and stuff will play into a world with mundane magic, mundagic, and i've been playing a lot of destiny, and have been absolutely buried in the grimoire because i'm a giant nerd who loves lore, so i'm gonna lay down some ground myths for y'all.
i've been thinking that mythical creatures, like dragons and werewolves, and the like, could've been ancient renditions of gestalts by early magicians, like maybe dragons were an early guardian-level gestalt, and were used so commonly that they became folklore, with the princess snatching being like, a side effect of power hungry wizards with dragons. werewolves, vampires, and what have you, could be early possession-level gestalts, maybe gone wrong and made people horrendously hairy, or something akin to it.
so, i really like the black garden in destiny, hell, i like evil magical locations in general, so i've been thinking, what if some really creative magicians took their guardians and made them into places, actual places charged with magical energy built to protect their master. think hogwarts staircases, but bigger, and more malevolent with intruders. you could have magicians like m.c escher building giant scaled "relativity" sets for art, or trapping people, whatever escher was known to do. theoretically, having a genius loci guardian could free up a magician from having to worry about a rampaging angel monster, at the price of making an easier to destroy core, since it'd have to be a giant room, or something out in the open, otherwise magic couldn't flow through the place.
on the subject of guardians, since i've said that they have some sentience, i've been thinking that a guardian takes on the personality of it's creator, so magicians don't go abusing their almost god-like gestalts. so, if you're young and rebellious, and you didn't listen to your elders when they asked you to not make a guardian, then your guardian will be rebellious and hard to control. budding magicians would have to be on constant watch, and guardian creation strictly regulated, since rampaging guardians have to be decommissioned, and decommissioning guardians come at a heavy price for their creators. however, creators taking apart guardians has no ill effects, so if you don't want the guardian you just made, you can break it apart with no fuss, but obviously if you're young and you don't have much experience, this might be a whole lot harder.
I'm thinking of having the wisp-level of gestalt being dedicated to acts of magic that don't have sentience or utility, like shooting fireballs or conjuring lighting would fall under wisp, but then split into categories based on what it is. engagement wisps could be magic directed at another thing, utility wisps being made to assist in some way, either way, a fireball or a staircase would fall under wisp level, leaving the actual constructed aspect of the constructs to familiar and up. anything on the wisp level could be known as conjurations, since they're not fully realized structures
magic combat, magic combat, magic combat, is seen the same way fencing is seen today, a forgotten relic of an ancient time. plus, with left brained magic so streamlined now, it's all in the reaction time than anything, so most of the sport involves a left brain biding time with calculations and patterns while a right brain nukes the place. speaking of right brains, since left brained magic has math and calculations and sigils to transfer it's user's will across the material, plane, right brained magicians have their own methods of conjuring. they use mediums, physical aspects to capture their manipulation of fractals. mediums can range from complex apparatuses to just plain fingertips. the point of a medium is to focus, and right brains can really use anything to focus, but it has to be something to pinpoint where they want their energy to go. most celebrity right brains might use wands or other flashy objects, but they might be only for show. keep in mind, whatever is used as a medium is not indicative of how powerful the magician is, just because someone can use magic using only their mind, it doesn't mean they're good at it, it takes a lot of practice on top of that.
that's another point about magic that has been agreed on by both schools of magic, that magic in general captures the essence of the human spirit. left brained magic is governed by determination, since, while it can be done by anyone, it needs a whole lot of practice and perseverance to truly get it down. on the opposite spectrum, right brained magic falls more in line with human creativity, since most right brained magicians tend to let imaginations soar when conjuring, and there's truly no limit to what can be done. however, to be truly great at either school, there is a bit of overlap between the magics, good left brained magicians tend to think abstractly, and find creative ways to finish equations and create sigils/runes, much like a right brained magician can, on the flip side, good right brained magicians have to know their logical limit, and while anything's possible, experienced right brained magicians know when to partition and divide their strength, using their magic in controlled, calculated doses.
that's about it for now, i should get thinking more on how magic impacts regular life from now on, i feel like i'm lacking on that, as always, shoot any asks if you got any questions, or just wanna talk about this, later gators
