i know ppl arent gonna like this post but at a certain point you need to realize you can use all the labels you want bc it feels secure but part of growing up is realizing that ppl who dont use premade labels and create their own or use messy ones that you dont like are human ppl and them defining themselves is not a federal fuckin issue, actually. and tbh based on my own experience: some of yall desperately need to just allow yourselves to be as messy as you want, bc i swear i used to be the biggest Defender Of Labels out there up until like late last year (so a couple months ago, really) and then i just was honest with myself and stopped trying to define myself by squeezing into strict labels that never really fit and suddenly i am so much happier and less stressed (and also deeply ashamed of how my pained and desperate attempts to fit into predetermined boxes made me act toward others but yknow). like i know for certain there are people who would want me drawn and quartered for describing myself as a dykefag but honestly fuck it we ball. people are people and we are the deciders of our own paths and how we define ourselves. peace and love on planet earth.
actually i am going to incorrectly characterize and rewrite my favorite characters who are objectively horrible people to have better traits or just be better people than they actually are and it IS going to be a selfish act bc i see so much of myself in them and i will not apologize or feel bad about it and i WILL be a fucking hypocrite about it by bitching about someone else doing the same thing about a character i dont like in the privacy of my own group chats. hope this helps.
