My mum (who knows nothing about Popcross or Dresden) mentioned that Dresden grows moss because he’s a rock.
I corrected her, saying he’s a magma rock so doesn’t grow moss, but it gave me an idea.
I therefore present to you;
The Cool-down Au

Basic overview;
This au takes place post-canon by about 2 years (max. 4 years)
In this au, ‘post canon’ means Tarsa and the archons have been defeated. Basically nothing else has changed except every character has been aged up. I’m ignoring Pantheon Reapers and Book of Biunites because i haven’t watched them yet and they’re unfinished, so this a “post canon” after Tahe ended, minus Tarsa and the archons.
This is a Dresden-focused (and by extension, RAS-focused) Au
This is somewhat plot based, with Dresden’s ‘condition’ worsening, and i’ll likely make a fic of this at some point, but the stuff I make probably won’t be released/created chronologically.

Plot;
1-4 years after the archons have been defeated, Dresden begins slowing down. His muscles feel stiffer, he is more tired, and in a dark room he glows dimmer than before. Eventually, he begins to grow moss.
(This is because before her death and before she killed Dresden’s dimension, Tarsa put a failsafe into Dresden’s curse. After her death, the magma that he is made of will cool down until it turns fully to stone.) (The characters don’t know this at first)
I don’t know the ending of this au tbh.
Either he is frozen and dies, or they find a cure/ treatment and he survives. I’m here to explore this chronic illness i’ve given him, feel free to do the same. Go with whatever you find most interesting.
