I just played Katana Zero and I can't believe I missed this gem for four years.

Since TCW aired, most of the fanworks about the Prequels show the trio as Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Anakin. And I've seen quite a few posts that say "the trio + Padme" or the trio and they only talk about Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi. TCW basically showed Padme as just a senator and they kinda made sure to distance her from Anakin and Obi-Wan. It's rare when Padme had episodes with Anakin and when they did, they would mostly argue or work apart from each other. It was rare when Padme and Anakin actually worked together and then Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan were never together. Padme was mostly shown along other politicians and only seldom so around Anakin and never around Anakin and Obi-Wan (except one scene in the first season that lasted all of 3 seconds or less). They basically gave her a different camp and made sure Ahsoka is always with Anakin and Obi-Wan, basically pushing Padme away from her role in the trio. There was a lot of indifference towards Padme in the fandom for various reasons, but TCW straight up replaced her with another female character who was a Jedi and who was always fighting and Padme's role became that of the damsel in distress or of just the politician. I would have been less mad at them if Padme was included along with Ahsoka and Anakin and Obi-Wan. She was just as much of a main character in the prequels as Anakin and Obi-Wan were. She didn't deserve to be treated like a side character just to make room for Ahsoka.

Padme was a main character in the prequels, but TCW treated her like she was a side character and a love interest and they never treated her as a main character.

How do you come up with OCs for the fic? Characters like Tex Hawstion are hilarious and feel like they fit right into the AA universe. Is there any process you have to come up with them? Do you have certain roles you need filled in a chapter and create around them or do you make the characters and see where they can fit in?

Kind of a little of both. With Tex it was simply “what if an extremely exaggerated version of Aizawa from BNHA was a Prosecutor in Ace Attorney and let’s fit him in somewhere.”

With some of the witnesses it’s more of “I need a witness testimony…I need to build a character around this.”

With Laura I knew from the beginning I wanted Klavier to have an assistant. Once I thought of her dynamic with Klavier and her personality I just kind let things fall into place as they may.

I kind of approach a bit of both methods with some future side character OCs that will be appearing.

It was spelled Auxia the first time her name comes up in the Netflix subtitles, but Acxa past that. And Acxa is the spelling I’ve seen in other sources
