For my 700th post (with 7 being my favorite number!), I decided to post this Australian house which encompasses many of the dialogues we’ve been having via Instagram and beyond, for the past few years: simple, elegant, and especially cool design - measured in visual appeal, not in Dollars spent. Black facade. Modernist architecture. Ingenuity. And a special touch: in its interior, unpainted plywood throughout the house, generating a pleasant and warm contrast vs. the exterior fiber cement panels and Blackbutt timber facade 👁⚫️ . . . The (so-called) OCM house is only 1,044sf on a 5,400sf lot, and is a three-bedroom, one full bath, one shared powder + laundry room. How is that for cool? House is also a nominee for the @archdaily Building of the Year 2020 award! . . .
