Vanilla malted milk ice cream is rich and creamy. It combines the classic vanilla flavor with the nostalgic malted milk flavor. It's great as a cool snack on a hot day or as a sweet treat any time of the year.
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup malted milk powder. 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, malted milk powder, vanilla bean including scraped seeds, and salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a simmer. Remove from heat. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld. Once chilled, remove the vanilla bean from the mixture and discard. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency. Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm. Serve and enjoy!
