the mirrors lie

Silence is all that was shared between Hunter and Adrian. It’s been almost a month since Adrian’s been back in heaven, the second day he was there, Hunter beat the shit out of him and shaved his head, wrote the bruises off as fight marks from training to Cooper, Adrian sighs, he doubts Cooper believed that, he’d make a bet honestly. Adrian’s hair had grown back some by now, a pure white with the softest pink tint, tightly curled yet still somehow flowing down to his ears, he’s come to resent the color, the holiness associated with it, he hated it, yet he kept quiet as Hunter combed his hair, it hurt like a bitch but he was honestly too scared to speak up against it, against Hunter. 

“You’re done now” 

Hunter’s voice was low and quiet As he locked the choker reading PEACE around Adrian’s throat. The hurt look that filled Dari...Darian’s eyes when he panicked and broke a necklace off Darian had just put on him was all he could picture as he touched the choking collar around him, he wanted to explain, but he couldn’t, he just looked away from him like a coward. He slept on the couch that night after spending as much time as he could trying to fix it. Gods he felt like shit for that. 

Adrian sighs as he looks into the mirror, all he saw looking back at him was a perfect angel, with bright green eyes and perfect everything, but when he took a closer look at himself, he couldn’t, no matter how hard he tried, recognize himself as that Angel that stared back at him.

Cooper walked through the forest with his new companion after he found her injured and helped her. Cooper decided to take her along with him to keep her safe, while also wanting to care for her. He was worried she might end up getting hurt so he would need to keep an eye on her. All while considering training her so she knows how to defend herself.

He kneels down near some tracks and looks over it. “Bear tracks. Hmm seems like a big one too.”

Cooper makes his way towards the ship he was assigned to look out for. Cooper didn’t like these sort of assignments where he has to travel into...space. It might be because he has seen too many movies of what happens to people in space. In any case he wasn’t looking forward to it as he makes his way up to the ship carrying his three bags.

Two in his hands and the third as his backpack. He walks on the deck of the ship and looks around for the captain. He was told her name and was given some information about her background. He puts his stuff down and sighed.

“So I get stuck keeping an eye on a cat lady’s ship. Just perfect.”
