So this has been another awkward Thanksgiving...

Well to start off I am at my grandparents house. They are super sweet and super religious... . . . . So as we are sitting down to eat, my grandma asks us all to share something we are grateful for. I say "I a, thankful that people are finally speaking out against I justice." Simple as that. The table went quiet, on to the next family member who's two word answer of "small town" got an entire conversation going. Then after we ate we all sat down to let the food settle, my father, uncle, grandpa and I got into the Ferguson debate. While my father does believe that this entire thing is blown WAY out if proportion, he does agree with me that cops should wear a camera at all times, to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen again. And then my parents decided that I should stay at my grandparents house tonight... Yay. And that somehow got us started talking about school and that started the discussion on my English assignment I was working on. The assignment: compare a bible story to a Greek mythology story, and then answer questions about all the other projects that classmates made. Now my very religious grandpa and slightly religious uncle were talking to me about this. I explained to them that I enjoy facts more than stories. And my grandpa asked me "So are you confused as to the fact that God made everything before you?" And me, being my slightly sardonic self, went, " well it's not that I don't believe in it, I just understand that evolution is a very valid reason as to why we can see a real change between the humans today and the humans several thousand years ago; us and the cavemen." . . . I think I lost my grandpa because he hasn't really spoken to me since... And now I am sitting here, with my parents at the hotel they rented out, explaining to you my problems. Now if you excuse me, I am going to go read gay fanfic and watch Queer as Folk, which is literally all gay sex.

Finally police are starting to wear body cams. Hopefully this will cut down on the BS police shootings that the news literally stopped covering because it's become a common problem.
