Clexa Cop AU: After Detective Lexa Woods's partner Anya Birch is injured in the line of duty and put on mandatory leave, Lexa's assigned a new partner: the recently transferred to Polis Precinct 12 Clarke Griffin, whose reputation as a maverick rule-breaker (with an unmatched arrest rate) precedes her.
Despite by-the-book Lexa's strenuous objections that someone as impulsive and, at times, downright reckless as Griffin isn't a suitable substitute for her veteran partner, Captain Indra Mulberry tells Lexa to put up or shut up because Griffin's unconventional approach garners results. Lexa grudgingly concedes but it doesn't mean she has to like the situation OR Griffin. She makes it clear they're not going to be friends.
But the more time they spend together, the more Griffin gets under Lexa’s skin. It's only because Clarke's disrespectful and aggravating and seems intent on pushing Lexa's buttons. It has absolutely nothing to do with Clarke's propensity for wearing low cut shirts or her husky laugh or her rudely attractive face or that she takes far too much enjoyment from teasing Lexa about her uptight attitude…
