“Sometimes you will be in control of your illness and other times you’ll sink into despair, and that’s OK! Freak out, forgive yourself, and try again tomorrow.

Oh joy, doctor day again...
Load your car with all necessary mobility aids and drive to the doctor
Find the handicap parking space (the only one left is on the roof)
Get to the doctor’s office 15 mins. before the appointment
Catch up with all your new friends and regular patients
Compare wait times
Wait an hour and a half to hear your name
Go into a very small room and wait another half hour reading the same posters you read last month
In breezes in the doctor with the “how are we today”
Spend 1min. 30sec. with the doctor
Make your appointment for next month
Wheel back to the roof to your car
On the way home you realize that was the most social interaction you had all month:)
