Hi hello, welcome back to Rose's brain rotting hours
Where I create new au and get fixated about it, so I'm sure you'll hear more of it in the future but I can give a small summary now under cut
Feudal au
Yuki and Umi's father as the Shogun, with the statue of his dead wife in the garden, being the center piece of it all.
Umi, Yuki and Taiyo as the shogun's children, stuck inside the palace walls, it was promised that instead of Umi becoming the next Shogun, it would be Taiyo, just because of him being only son of Shogun, but he died at the young age so which made the Shogun to settle on Umi again.
Making her to learn everything she should at young age. Which meant studying more even if she's blind.
Yuki on the other hand was the one who her father wanted to marry off to some other noble, just to keep their bloodline going and her being the last option for becoming shogun if something happened to her older sister, her role becoming political chess piece. She hated the idea of being married off for either keeping her family lineage going or it being political option to keep the peace between each clan/cities etc. but she didn't say anything about it to her father. Only Umi knew about it and she could keep secrets.
Usagi is from samurai class, his loyalty belonging on Shogun on this au after his old daimyo/person he protected died.
Turtles were dimension hoppers, they decided to move in to Usagi's world after their father died to honor his last wish, for them to be safe and find their own places in the world instead of being ninjas of NYC.
At first they were travelers, moving from place to place, doing odd jobs to make some money to buy food and all that to survive. They took off their masks but they held on them, wrapping them on their wrists first and when they got their new weapons they wrapped them on them. (the first thing they did was to get clothes) and then changing their ninja weapons to sets of swords (or only wakizashi when it's about Don and Mikey), one being wakizashi since ninjas were looked down upon, being the same rank as bandits so to say.
They slowly got some attention, the news reaching Usagi and he (with Shogun's permission) left to locate his old friends to invite them over to meet his new master.
When he heard they didn't really have place to be, he turned to Shogun's direction and with humble recommendation said that his friends are good add to their growing army.
To which Shogun was suspicious at first, letting them stay in the palace as he trusted Usagi's judgement and raised them to samurais as well (but only if they truly wanted to stay).
To where we come to the meat of this thing.. the reason for Shogun accepting four foreign turtles to his palace was the fact that one of the lords wanted him and his family dead. So he gave the young men (they are.. in their 20s in this) a task to fulfill to see what are their strengths, would they be useful against this certain lord? Turned out that yes, they would.
Leo and Raph got the roles of bodyguards for his daughters, making sure that his family was safe with the assigned turtle who was around the princess all the time.
Don became a Shogun's advisor his logic was useful on doing battle tactics (sometimes the purple one went to his oldest brother's side to ask some insight).
While Mikey on the other hand, became Kuro's bodyguard, making sure the young prince is safe. (And getting to know Copper, the respected blacksmith)
Kuro came to the palace along the lines of the ward deal after his own parents died and Yuki adopted him.
Then there's this bandit groub called Purple Dragons, making a mess on everywhere they went (turtles hackles rose at the mention of PD as they thought of Hun but no, Hun ain't here.. it's someone else who is still a questionmark) and stealing all the valuable. That is how Don meets Alex, mutant(?) bandit who tried to get inside the palace, only to get inside his chambers instead of some library etc.

That's the base of this au :> as I said, it's a brain rot lol
