AC6 third ending spoilers
I've described in private the endless war implied by the Coral Release ending. The way evolution is said to be spurred by conflict, and how Ayre's final proclamation of "Main System - Entering Combat Mode" is a statement of intent. I've seen great writeups on this, reading it as a deeply hopeless resolution. No matter what, we are doomed to the cycle of violence. There was no truly good ending. Death and suffering are inevitable. But that misses a small part of the NG++ playthrough. A part that I love so so much. You see, we fought Ayre, a coral anomaly, while she was piloting a mech. And she didn't die or suffer. There was no tragedy to it at all. In stark contrast, it was arousing for her.
So I think that when she says "Main System - Entering Combat Mode" she means WE OUT HERE FUCKIN BABY, HELL YEAH WOO WHATS BETTER THAN SLAMMIN OUR MECHS TOGETHER SEXUAL STYLE TILL THE STARS DIE?? NOTHING. SHES GONNA CORAL RELEASE IN MY [radio static]
