RIP RICHARD CORBEN.  This painting was the cover to a comics anthology I bought as a kid...called Basically Strange.  I always admired his unique and weird paintings and comics.

RIP Richard Corben (1940-2020) A huge influence on me as a kid, I collected many of his comics as a teenager. His masterful use of color and shading created otherworldly creatures and immersive, fantastical environments. I created this tribute collage using Corben's self portrait from 2007, and my favorite panel from Bloodstar. Rest in peace Mr. Corben.
