mdzs hc about wen sibs and wwx
SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HASN’T FINISHED MDZS
hahaha, so like. i always felt that wwx’s reasoning for protecting the wens a little... missing. (i dont mean he needs more reason to protect them; i just mean it feels like there’s a missing puzzle piece and im here to make it)
so i became thinking and like... imagine after the core transfer, wwx obviously cannot fucking move because of the pain and loss. and just... think about it, who was there when wwx was possibly as his lowest? the wen siblings. they were there. we all saw how jc reacted to losing his core, and yes it has something to do with the fact he was very centered around his cultivation because of his upbringing BUT. BUT bear with me, okay. while wwx had the reason to live because his siblings are still here, he was... down. he felt kinda useless, powerful and lowkey broken. because he will NEVER regret giving his core to jc, but. brains are very annoying
and imagine they had to bring him out of his thoughts multiple times before he lost himself. he had to fight the thoughts of being powerless, of “what if when he was really needed, he couldnt do ANYTHING?” and its so overwhelming, and the wen siblings couldnt just stand there while he was spiraling.
so they kept him company, they helped feed him for a while, they monitored him, they talked to him, they distracted him, they talked about him NOT being useless, because sometimes he just needs reminders of it.
and he will forever be grateful for them. for being there when he was at his lowest. for having them when he didnt know what to do after everything was over. for grounding him, for keeping him sane. he will forever be glad for it.
and its why he protected them so fiercely, so strongly. because they brought him back on his feet, so now, he wanted to do the same.
except we dont always get what we want, huh?
