Best video of 2019 and 2020. Bye bye Dragnea.
They really did it... The government of Romania said multiple times that they hoped the big protest of 10 August would be peaceful... They said it so many times, there had to be something behind it. And indeed... Yesterday there where 100.000 protesters who are all fed up with the corruption in the country and the irresponsible government. The protest was shut down. Hard. The gendarmes threw tear gas at the crowd. They didn’t care about the children, the old people, the innocent. They don’t care about Romania. This beautiful country of ours is done. We are held hostage by the governing party PSD and their leader Liviu Dragnea, a convicted criminal. Our protest is another succes story for them. “It was no protest, it was a riot, look at them!” They will say it, they will spin it. We knew that protesting against the red plague had little impact, but it was our only weapon. That too has been taken away.
I’m sad, we are all sad. Corruption kills and Romania is dead. Game over. But with our last voice, we will keep saying this: “They are not a government, they are thieves, look at them!”
Go Laura Codruta Kovesi!
The truth.
Tonight. PROTEST for a better Romania.
Resist. Corruption kills.
Yes, Romania is beautiful, but we can’t post images of our great castles or our breathtaking nature at this moment. Everything is in danger right now. The government of the PSD (the neo-communists) made corruption legal. It’s true, it’s great, would Trump say. But we’ve had our share of corruption. We’re done. We want transparency. We want to be a modern country. But now, those politicians want to legalize corruption and of course they are the ones who won’t end up in jail because of this new law. They steal our money and our lives. We, the people, can’t do anything about it, except this: protest and share our message with the world. We only want to live in this beautiful country with breathtaking nature and great cultural places, but without those corrupt and arrogant politicians. Please help us, and share. And Romanians: protest!
This was Sunday in Bucharest. We Romanians are thanking Europe for backing us in the fight against corruption. And we will go on!
