The one thing that doesn't abide by majority rule is a person's conscience.

Engravings on My Conscience
Last night I visited my conscience in a dream.
An unforgettable site;
It was beautiful, radiating with light.
some how I couldn't remember it was male or female.
I guess we were made this way not confined to a gender;
Taking turns to be one in a lifetime.
It was on a mission or something, very eager to talk;
Unable to decide what to convey first;
Or may be choked with happiness.
It was a mixed emotion a very rare in the world I live.
I felt a pull towards it as if my every cell wanted a union.
With every passing second I felt the distance reducing.
I could see now its body covered with wrinkles;
Some of sadness, some of pain, some happy lines many faded with age.
Some lines were bleeding light, some grave and dark.
I wanted to do something, I don’t know, I was not sure of!
I tried to react, I wanted to reach out;
But as I did I was pushed back and with a sudden drop I was awake.
The last words that I heard it saying were;
How are you are you all right?
Th e wrinkles were words now as I remember.
It was a memory can’t be explained.
I felt sad and happy at the same time;
I felt lost still felt I am not alone.
All that I feared was in vain.
I felt responsible and wiser as some forgotten knowledge I regained.
I felt gifted with a direction that couldn't go wrong.
I felt loved like never before, I felt reborn.

"Preoccupati più della tua coscienza che della reputazione. Perché la tua coscienza è quello che tu sei, la tua reputazione è ciò che gli altri pensano di te. E quello che gli altri pensano di te è problema loro. (Charlie Chaplin) @struruso
If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience.
