OC HALLOWEEN 2025 ➜ crybaby (2013, dir. ken delias)

Cosmo 'Baby' Kepler has always been known for being a tad overly emotional. So maybe it should be expected that, when Chase McKinney tries to rob Cosmo and his brother Merritt, Cosmo... flies off the handle. Well, he blacks out and wakes up covered in Chase's blood, anyway. Though Merritt catches him in the act, they both know he's too far gone on Cosmo to do anything about it. So, together, they cover it up. And then they do it again... and again... and again. As Cosmo's emotional outbursts worsen, a murder spree ensues, and the couple continues to bury bodies and destroy evidence. But pressure and hilarity mount as an FBI agent haplessly stumbles in their trail and Merritt's coworkers begin to suspect something strange is afoot. Meanwhile, the two struggle to balance their life of crime with a happy and healthy relationship. It's so hard to be a murderer in the modern age!

AHHHHH literally my FAVORITE movie of all time!!! i am so so excited for the third one and already have plans to see it (it comes out a Week before my birthday. smth smth fate destiny it always comes back to me and the nysm series)

thank you for asking omg! i have two (bc this is how my life goes) but the first is esther - dylan's little sister, magician's assistant of sorts, tarot reader, and lawyer to the horsemen! literally passed the bar just to be part of her brother's long con revenge scheme, you Have to respect her for it. she's a jack oc (bc. that's one of the blorbos of all time.) but damn she loves all the horsemen like they're her family. she's the sweetest and smartest girl alive, she loves her big brother more than anything, and i love her sooo much

the second is cosmo, who is more just a fun bonus than anything. cosmo is a merritt oc (lol) who used to be his private pilot/all around chauffeur when the mckinney bros were still in business together. when they split, he and merritt fell out of touch, then he moved up the ranks as a private pilot, eventually landing in the pocket of arthur tressler. thus they meet again and the cycle starts all over. it's clear they used to have SOME kind of relationship but no one can tell if they were just pining friends or fwb or dating or even married and are now divorced??? and cosmo just says something new every time they ask so no one can figure it out (though henley definitely has a conspiracy theory board trying to piece it together). i love comedy and divorced old man homosexuality!

If they’ve ever gone to any Pride events, and how it went if they have: i don't think he would go to one himself, but on two occasions, i could see him going out there - 1. if the horsemen were to do a pride event (which i can absolutely see bc all those bitches gay) and 2. if jack, henley, lula, or the nysm3 kids asked him to go. he would go and party stupid and bitch about everyone and be a great time and then go home and be like "okay! let's Never do that again!"

Who was the first person they came out to? How did it go?: he came out to his parents very casually over breakfast when he was about 17. his parents, free-wheeling hippies, were not just supportive but enthusiastic. very 'you know when i was your age i did all kinds of crazy stuff ;) go get em tiger' and then promptly gave him a safe sex talk. they were cool!

Have they ever questioned their gender? If so, did anything come of the questioning?: idet cosmo thinks of his gender. he just is. not uncomfortably so, just. he is. i think people referring to him by other pronouns wouldn't even phase him KDNKFNK

Do they have any flags, or things decorated with the flags, of their identity/identities?: i think he has one really old, beaten-up pride flag he's had since the 80's, and then jack got him and merritt matching mugs that say 'i'm his >' '< he's mine' for christmas one year as a bit. they still have them <3

If they’re more out and proud about their queerness, or if they treat it like just a fact of life: cosmo is only loud in that he never shuts the fuck up talking about himself, but otherwise, it's just a fact of life to him <3

hmmm... probably his emotional control. he's really overly emotional ('baby' is his nickname for a reason bc. he's a big baby.) and often can't rein it in!!

oh he's a quitter. 'mama didn't raise a quitter' not his mama! she did raise a quitter! top ten guys to cut and run!

cosmo's kind of indifferent, until people criticize him, and then he gets upset. but as long as everyone stfus he's fine!

he's in a bowling league. which i think is so funny. he hates bringing it up around the horsemen bc henley (and merritt tbh) makes fun of him
