Been so busy BUT I will have new con pics soon AND AND I will be unveiling my first ever prop I’ve made at this con sooo

Bnha is sending me into a state of cosplay choice anxiety. Like, I usually do two outfits a year, one for Halloween and one for this convention I go to every year, and now I’m just stressing about who to do, ‘cause I kinda just wanna be everyone? My top contenders are Kaminari, Bakugo, and Tamaki. Some friends and I are working on a panel for the spring, but we’re not sure if we’re going to be accepted or not. So logically, to save money, I should buy a wig for Denki (I’m being him) now and double up for Halloween and that one day of the con, BUT I DON’T KNOW IF WE’RE GOING TO BE ACCEPTED OR NOT?! If we don’t, I’d want to do Bakugo, so I can double up for one con day and then leave Tamaki for the second day? If I even go a second day? And then like, if the panel happens, I’ll have to drop either Bakugo or Tamaki, which I really don’t want to pick?

Right now, Tamaki’s on my mind, ‘cause I’m a graduating senior this year, and I’m an absolute mess, so he really speaks to me? I already have the wig. BUT LIKE. I WANNA DO HIS HERO OUTFIT AND WTH EVEN IS GOING ON THERE?! His cape’s weird, he has a backwards backpack, and...Jeez, armor shouldn’t be this hard?

I was going to do Fantasy AU! Bakugo with my friend, and I have a feeling he’s easier on the cosplay scale compared to Tamaki, but like...I’m not going to be a senior forever?

Oh yeah, and then I told another friend I’d do Halloween! Denki for Halloween this year, but like...it’s harder than it looks?! I wanna try tho...BUT WHAT IF IT’S ALL A WASTE?!

And don’t even get me started with other characters I want to cosplay. I could fill up pages of people and reasons why.

Sorry, I needed to vent. I promise I’m not on the verge of a mental breakdown.

When someone whats to cosplay a character, NEVER EVER SAY THAT SOMEONE ELSE WOULD MAKE A BETTER COSPLAY. It’s rude, its awful, and mostly its extremly hurtful.

oh man so stresssed, i spent basically from the moment i got home from school until about 20 minutes ago finishing my t1d top, and i feel like it turned out crappier than how I wanted it. I use the same technique as i did for my gwen suit, but I had less time to make sure it would be as great as it could be because of school stuff all happening at once. I mean I can probably go back and redo the symbol (possibly have to do all the front piece hhhh) later on, its just i realy wanted to have it for diabetes awareness month be perf so that i could raise great awareness. and now i’m premiering a somewhat mediocre top when i KNOW i could do better and I’m such a perfectionist that I hate showing anything mediocre (like sure i nitpick things on other cosplays but the spandex worked way different than the cotton lycra)

i hope it looks good to other people at least

and I”m terrible at patterns, so I’m thinking about modifying yaya han’s body suit.

And then i remember. 

I have a basic leotard pattern.

Cosplay Woes

OK. The mangakas of the world and I need to have a bit of a heart to heart right now. 

This is the character I’ve recently been talked into cosplaying:

HOWEVER there is an issue with this that I need to rant about for a moment. 

THESE SHOULDER SLITS:

First off. Miko hakuis do not have these shoulder slits

But putting that aside, since most anime mikos have these for Rule of Cool, These shoulder slits are actually common to the noblemen’s outer jacket suikan:

As you can probably tell from the above picture, the slit is actually achieved by only attaching the sleeve to the shoulder on the upper back of the garment. 

HOWEVER LOOK AT THISSS:

HER CHEST PLATE GOES ALL THE WAY AROUND THE TORSO. AND THE SLITS EXTEND TO THE TOP EDGE OF THE CHESTPLATE.

HOW DO YOUR SLEEVES STAY ON MINORI?? BLACK MAGIC? LEVITATION? THE DOKI DOKI LOVE POWER YOUR HAVE FOR YOUR SHIROE SENPAI WHO WILL NEVER NOTICE YOU?

AND DON’T JUST TELL ME TO SEW IT TO THE RED PART INSIDE. THAT’S CLEARLY A DIFFERENT KIMONO/DOGI SHE’S WEARING UNDERNEATH:

and don’t even get me started on those hakama pant legs:

How does she do that? petticoats for her knees?
