Woolhaven (gameplay) Trailer Breakdown
Please watch the trailer first! It'll make more sense
Please take what I have to say with grain of salt, I speculated a lot on how things may work, and I don't have all the dlcs! Anything I pointed out may part of those and I don't know
Not beta read, we die like lambs
Reblogs >> Likes Please, I spent far too much time on this and I'd like eyes and people to theorize with
❄️ ~ Shot 1 ~ ❄️
First of all, shot one, FREEZING! It depicts you and your followers running through a blizzard, while ice crackles and your followers all head down to the left The storm to effect your cult, I think it may be an event linked to the mountain and making something mad/disturbed much like how Kallamar will make your cultists sick and Heket makes your followers hungry. OR, weather! Im not sure which is more likely.
Your followers and you also leave footsteps in the snow, likely temporary. Will be handy for tracking followers down!
❄️ ~ Shot 2 ~ ❄️
Shot two shows off a bigger cult space, as well as an extra area south of the cult which looks to house a structure we don't fully see. Everything's covered in a layer of snow now, even most decorations! Honestly its quite pretty!
Perhaps theres heating? Theres fires everywhere in the this shot and nobodies actively freezing anymore from what I noticed So its either the fires and/or the storm not actively going
As well as a bunch of buildings around it, but most interesting for me is this one
Where is appears followers can sacrifice other followers? Seems to be possessed or cursed of some kind judging by the antlers coming out of their head. The impaled bishops followers around are also new and looks to be part of that structure?? Maybe a more specific punishment for spies?
But most importantly:
A COW! TO RIDE!? We see the Lamb take it down to the southern area, so maybe the unseen building is related to the cow in some way!
❄️ ~ Shot 3 ~ ❄️
Cow is seen in shot 3 as well, lamb riding it through the cult and hopping off. Either the cult is big enough that its good to have now for us or our followers OR we can take it on missions? It'd be cool if followers could take them out on missonaries to make them quicker but have a risk of the cattle's death
A few notable decorations and buildings
The first is a hot spring, might lend some to my heating theory, second buildings purpose is unknown but it looks like far more than a decoration, building 3 perhaps cultists can craft things for us?
❄️ ~ Shot 4 ~ ❄️
A WHOLE NEW AREA!?
THE LAMB HAS A FLAIL!? They're seen charging it up and releasing it upon the statue which breaks upon hit and kills the hound next to it Lets also just appreciate that range of damage
Im expecting it to be slow but STRONG, similar to the hammer but have far longer range.
The statue Im FASCINATED by! Its a dog, just like the enemies around it. Im thinking it may be a herding dog? They may've had a relationship to the lambs of the area before the lambs got killed off It and the dogs have the same blue glowing eyes
This animation is just nice
❄️ ~ Shot 5 ~ ❄️
Another dog-like enemy, wrapped in bandages Area is gated off via what seems to be an electric fence likely until you defeat it Looks as if the flails are dragging behind the lamb
Lightning strikes, I can't tell if it damages the hound or the Lamb
❄️ ~ Shot 6 ~ ❄️
More dogs with blue glowing eyes? They're not given the type to do much
❄️ ~ Shot 7 ~ ❄️
Marchosias,,, oh Marchosias, the second I saw you I made you in Ponytown Blue eyes like the rest of them. They are a large hound built much like a bishop though they lack a crown and there shouldn't be more if I remember the lore right. They're gorey inside, many hands peaking through papers that cover it, which remind me of ofuda. Spiked collar with some kind of ball light chained to it. Outfit with varies tools stored upon it it
"What... what is that filth that perverts my mountain?" Likely the leader of the dogs? Or former leader? I'll be surprised if we don't fight them
The area they're found in looks to be some kind of study, surrounded by book with a specimen on the table. Scientist?? Surgeon??
Ily Marchosias Ily Marchosias I just met you and you're already infecting my brain and are the reason I made this post I fear for my sanity once it comes out
Added 20 minutes after I wrote this all out, BUT this is a fantastic post dissecting what we know

🩸 ~ Shot 8 ~ 🩸
A different area, gorey, it gives The Binding of Isaac to me, as someone who hasn't played the game. As well as many depictions of hell. Cages litter the place, some with eyes staring through. Maybe this reflects the state the Lambs were in being slaughtered one by one?
The Lambs hell?
Judging by the background of the prior shot being red as the ground here, maybe this the "filth" from on the mountian?
The thing in the middle is not a corpse but an enemy spouting these, which look to explode when they land
🩸 ~ Shot 9 ~ 🩸
Im starting to debate my choice of doing this and my browser is crying, and I have not backed this up I should back this up Anyways
Boss fight with a crab thing
🩸 ~ Shot 10 ~ 🩸
...I ...I dont like it
🩸 ~ Shot 11 ~ 🩸
Possibly a prefight with the Executioner? or at least a similar figure It cannot be a boss fight due to the branching path, nor anything much bigger. Maybe a supersized enemy thrown at you? Either way they're throwing around what appears to be a flayed or fleshy construction of a lamb around which is as gross as it is cool
When it hits the ground, the stage ignites in flame and the flayed lamb seems to react? It appears the figure has it in barbed chain be and it not seen getting up before

EXECUTIONER FIGHT
I DID NOT EXPECT THIS, I DID NOT EXPECT ANY OF THIS, BUT DAMN AM I EXCITED
It looks to be treated in a similar way to the bishop fight in gravity and theres the bell beneath the Executioner (who may also be a hound now that Im looking, though red eyes?)
My guess is this expansion will provide two areas, the mountain and this hell, likely in that or oppisite order, with Marchosias being the "bishop" of that area
🩸 ~ Shot 13 ~ 🩸
Just LOOK at this scene, its BEAUTIFUL Also an eldritch form for a non-bishop is fascinating to me and GOD I'm excited to see this fight play out! A circular ring is unique as well, surrounded in the graves of who he slayed
❄️ ~ Shot 14 ~ ❄️
Back we go to the lambs The middle I assume to be a statue of a former bishop. Crown, cloak similar to the Lamb's(maybe they wear what they do to honor them?) and the bell hangs similar to Marchosias' light. Im unsure if whats dripping from the eyes is flesh or candle wax This is wild theorizing, but maybe Marchosias and the unnamed lamb bishop were allys or friends?
If they were, what happened? Why is his dogs attacking the Lamb? Are they acting on their own? Grief? Think the Lamb's part of the issue? What happened to the crown?
The ghosts of past lambs surround in glowing blue light, the smaller ones in robes similar to the Lamb's, while the eight(theres two cut off on the bottom) around are statues. Maybe elders?
And then the end card
Apologies if this post is incomprehensible, I had to get this out of my system! Im not going to break down the animation but I'd love to see someone else do the same
