moodboard for the past year LMAO I'm up to book 9 of the prequel so far. Each book is 1.5-2k words, and written from Kel's POV in journal form. They will establish what happened before CotV and how Kel dealt with it all

wooops forgot monday cotv update. I meant to cook somethin up here. I legit thought it was still the weekend and its tuesday, oh my god its wednesday actually. Earlier today I thought it was monday. ANYWAY

I've been meaning to share I've been doing a nice revisit of chapter 1 of cotv. I wanna show a little snippet of how I've been touching up the chapter. I even added a new scene, covering the first grey alien transformer event that I initially forgot to include in the fic.

Here's a sneakpeek of that, though there will be much much more!

I will say I'm still on hiatus, so work will be slow. I'm finding time when I can, but I should be able to find a bit more time in these next few weeks.

Chapters 2 and 3 and part of 4 might get entirely reworked, but we'll see how they go as I do my reread and re-edit

Will you be adding the evil kerfur face to COTV? Or since it’s considered a “forbidden” maybe not..

There's a chance!!! I could see the spooky face caused by Kerfur picking up some sort of signal from a very agitated spirit that's trying to communicate with Kel for whatever reason. Kerfur quickly switches away from that screen and feels weird - to us, only a fraction of a second has passed, but to Kerfur, it's been minutes. This causes Kerfur to check up on Kel. Kel didn't even see it and doesn't know what's going on

Wee monday progress update bc I am SLEEPY this monday

Might extend the CotV hiatus until end of march or even april, that's looking like it will be best for this author. Still gonna try and post my monday posts anyway regardless if I have anything written or doodled, to keep u all updated (also to show I am alive lol) my 2026 resolution was to just post every monday about cotv in some way

Still am sooooooooo glad I managed to get to the end of arc 1 within a year, big accomplishment for me

just finished chapter 8 of cotv and i NEED to see our favourite boyfailure in that alien polycule NOW!!!!

also the fic is really good and i enjoyed the cliffhanger it ended on, keep up the great work okavara!!!

LMAOO HEEELPPP THANK YOUUU HEHEHE omg yeah. It would be cute but Kelryptid has to work through some of his problems and hangups first LMAO. Neopi would be patient with him and Jupitas is actually quite curious about him. Neopi is a little too overexcited about him so I think he'd slowly build up a liking for Jupitas first, then Neopi, who would be overjoyed haha. Then earning Merlu's favor is like solving a puzzle, but a very rewarding one hehe

I originally was gonna have chapter 7, 8, and 9 all be one chapter, but the cliffhanger between 8 and 9 was too juicy to pass up, and also each chapter grew so huge it was best to split it into pieces haha

I dunno if I'll make you all wait a couple months for it... That would be too cruel. But I wanna let it stew a little bit to let people speculate on the cliffhanger :}

Chapter 8 CotV is out!

CotV Chapter 8 progress has gone quite well! While it has been in a "complete" state since 7 has been posted as far as stated story events and actions as it originally was the second half of chapter 7, it's now feeling fairly refined after several readthroughs and edit sweeps. I'm hoping to be able to post it before the month is out! <3

Making it into its whole own chapter has given the story room to breathe with it as well, and for me to fit several more cute and fun scenes into it. Thank you all for your patience <3 I hope it will be worth the wait!
