REMEMBER THIS! 

This is what gaming was in yester-year. There are few experiences that top the experience of gaming in the same room! The feeling of beating your best friend by one star in Mario Party 3. The over-the-top gloating of winning the match in GoldenEye!  

Or my personal favorite.........THE RAAAAAAAGE QUIT of the everlasting Halo Party! 

Some of my fondest memories are of me and the guys sitting down and playing a shooter together. And I’m not talking about a party of players in different houses. I’m talking 4 TV’s in one room and 4 guys screaming BS as someone gets hit by the thrown hatchet from across the map! ...you know what I’m saying. 

There are few games that still do this, and fewer still coming in the future. Recent additions of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and Towerfall: Ascension are only a few of the games in recent year to allow local coop.  Diablo 3 for console did a great job of bringing people who normally wouldn’t game in the same room to the couch to enjoy, not just gaming, but gaming TOGETHER!  There needs to be a resurgence of this type of gaming. The Gaming community needs to show Devs that this is what we want! Bring back social gaming!
