Okay first up having written a tenth of the CJ/Kate fic out there is incredible and like I know that’s not my go to ship on here but oh I love that, that’s amazing.
But oh this makes me so happy, THANK YOU. Because yeah!! There’s like a small amount of wlw fics from like the early 2000s which have been archived over time by now (and some of them really are so good, it’s so worth looking through them, but they’re also barely tagged so they’re so hard to actually search through and know what you’re finding) and I distinctly remember like. I started watching the show like 11/12 years ago but I didn’t really even consider that there might be much of a fandom to it in the way some other shows and such I liked had (mostly cause I watched it because my dad loved it, and it did not cross my mind that Dad’s Show had FANDOM lmao) let alone actually sapphic fannish content? And then I finally did look it up about two years ago now and there had been this surge in like 2021/2022 of wlw fics that had since stopped being really there and I was so sad to feel like I’d missed the ‘one chance’ at actually talking to other queer women about these women??
I was so wrong, obviously. I’m so happy I was wrong. But also it took like over a year to actually BE wrong and I am so incredibly happy every time it really feels like the effort’s paid off in the sense of just. There are many wlw fics in this fandom, being posted every month, this month! There is so much occasional chatter about lesbian and other queer headcanons for these characters and there are so many fun pairing being written that I never would have come up with and obviously we don’t actually share a lot of those ships in that sense but oh it makes me so happy seeing your name pop up occasionally, it really does. (And also? @abigailbartletmd has finally gotten to seasons 6 and 7 on her rewatch and is So excited about Kate Harper in different wlw ships which is 100% gonna be rubbing off on me sooner rather than later so I have said it before and I didn’t manage it then but I am so very determined to write my first cjkate fic this year. Maybe for @twwpride if it runs, or pride in general? That’s a nice Moment? But in general. It is COMING. One day.)
