This photograph is my baby. And now it has an award on its head. A hidden world reveals itself as somehow in progress. Teenage girls who just recently got allowance to talk to strange men. A curiosity for what is new but also a clear devotion to a religion and the rules that follows by exactly that belief. This photograph is my baby and an important one. Therefore it is also very honorable when the prestigious international contest College Photographer of the Year 2016 recognizes the work. It's not gold, nor silver or bronze: It's something. And that something makes me want to work harder for what may be the reason I still want to eat boring breakfast and bike in the snow with worn tires: Photography. I would also like to recognize the fact that a bunch of my good friends already have won awesome medals (yep, the real ones) although the contest is not even over yet. @simonlaessoe @philipdavali @lasse_sorensen @fabianfiechter @skjoldjensen @runeaarestrup and @ulrik_hasemann Many good things can happen the next couple of days, especially for the dude last mentioned.
