OH MAN after they graduate Hogwarts and they're off fighting with the order they probably leave each other little notes and presents (like sirius leaves remus his favorite chocolate bars, and little bits of paper with lyrics/poetry written on them, and remus leaves sirius fruity teas and the brand of dog biscuits he loves to eat as padfoot but absolutely vehemently denies liking as sirius) and maybe they don't see each other all the time but they always have these little reminders of each other

vday wolfstar hc: remus continuously tells sirius that he doesn't want to do anything special for valentine's, that just spending time together is enough, but ofc sirius is the biggest drama queen ever and assumes that remus MUST be trying to reverse psychology him into a huge, perfect, romantic valentine's celebration, so naturally he agonizes over it and makes the most obnoxious, ostentatious, lovey plans in the history of ever (w/ james' help, of course) and it just backfires spectacularly

re: there being a fully functioning train in a mall - most malls in america have little trains that do rounds of the main floor and parents can pay for their kids to get a ride around the mall. it's pretty cute, actually :)
