Sakura saving Kakashi from a spider scenario? XD
The door to the Hokage’s office slammed open, admitting a very concerned looking pink haired medical shinobi. “What is it? What happe-“ Concern quickly gave way to amusement when she saw her Sensei.
The Sixth Hokage, one of the strongest shinobi in all of Konoha. Able to face down an army without fear, survived two wars and countless missions.
And here he was, standing on top of his desk glaring down at one corner of the room.
“I see you’re making friends, Sensei,” her tone is playful as she makes her way towards the desk, peering at the corned that the older man was glaring at. “Oh, Sensei…it’s not even that big.”
“Size is not the concern here, Sakura,” Kakashi’s voice was collected and calm, as if he was talking about training or a meeting he had to get to. Not for a second giving away the intense fear Sakura had no doubt was brewing inside of him. “I tried to call Gai but-“
“Mmmm, Lee-Kun said he was taking Metal out for a walk this morning. I’m guessing that Gai-Sensei joined,” Making her way towards the corner, Sakura knelt down and gently placed a hand palm up on the floor. At first the tiny creature just sat there. Almost as if it was afraid of her. It didn’t take it long to decide to take up Sakura’s office and crawl onto her hand, making itself comfortable as she stood up. “I don’t see how you can hate them. They’re adorable.”
“Everyone has things they hate,” Her Sensei reminded her. “Like how Gai can’t stand boats, or how you always get on edge when-“
Glaring over her shoulder, she watched as her Sensei diverted his eyes.
“Finish that sentence and I’ll make sure this little one picks out the perfect corner for a web.” She warned.
“Threat noted and respected,” nodding his head, her Sensei narrowed his eyes towards the spider now sitting in her hand. “Do you uh…maybe want to…”
“Come on,” turning herself towards the door, she moved to leave the room. Allowing her Sensei to finally climb off of the desk that he was sitting on and relax into his seat once more. “I have a nice place for you to rest. You’re lucky Sensei called me in time.”
“I wasn’t going to hurt it!” Her Sensei’s words followed her out of the room, a smile greeting her when she stopped to look back at him. “I just don’t want it here.”
“Oh, that’s not what I was worried about,” she smiled “It would have taken me longer to make your office spider free if the babies had been born.”
Shutting the door behind her, Sakura chuckled to herself.
“It’s not fun to save Sensei from such a big scary friend if I can’t bug him, hmm?” she smiled down at the spider. “though, for a genius he can be kind of dumb. There were no eggs in there, and you wouldn’t leave your web if you had babies to protect.”
There was no doubt in her mind that her Sensei would get her back for that joke later on, but she was more than happy to face his wrath for even a second of that panicked look in his eyes.
It was too funny a chance to pass up.
