cql rant part 1/?

so I'm rewatching cql and i just realised something. not really a big thing tbh but its wangxian so..

forgot what eps it is but there's this scene where lqr scolded lwj after making lwj reread the whole gusu lan sect's rules and he's saying something like

"i don't want you to repeat the same mistake as your father."

something like that

and it just hit me. lqr knew. he knew wangji was in love with wwx. and he was afraid that the love wangji had will ended up destroying him just like it destroyed wangji's father

one of my favorite things about wangxian is how it represents wangji and xichen's parents in some kinda way.. but in a good way. in a way that their relationship actually works

xichen also told the story of his parents to wwx that night when wwx asked about wangji's wounds. he wanted wwx to realise how much wangji loved him and how in a sense their story is kinda similar to his parents

idk i just thought of it that way.. tbh the point is basically i love how i lqr already knew about wangji's feelings for wwx. because all this time i just simply thought lqr was worried because wangji is a good kid and lqr was afraid wwx will somehow tainted him. but no. that wasn't the case. lqr was worried because he knew wangji loved wwx and he was afraid wangji will repeat the same mistake his father did

cql rant part 2/?

idk if anyone ever said this before but i think that the reason why in cql eps 1?? sizhui could recognize wangxian.mp3 is not fully before the familiar gusu melody but rather because he had heard it before, long ago, when he was still little a-yuan. he listened to his wei gege playing wangxian.mp3 with chenqing almost everyday.. even playing it for a-yuan as a lullaby. sizhui only realised that years later after he regained his childhood memories back little by little.

and also other than hearing it from his wei gege, he also heard it from his qian gege, hanguang-jun. sometimes he heard hanguang-jun playing it with his qin and also sang it. it could be sizhui's favorite song when he was a kid. and on present time maybe sizhui will ask his dads to sing wangxian.mp3 again for him.
