okay obviously ashton taking no damage and shrugging off the absolute motherload of damage silt!controlled dorian dealt them was sexy as fuck, but I can't stop thinking about if dorian had hit someone else and mortally wounded or even killed them. or if this had happened in d&d instead of daggerheart and orym had done the bait and switch so he took damage instead (bc I don't think ashton had a comparable ability in d&d iirc?)

and then robbie's beautiful bit of description of the black silt tears that dorian is crying as he's attacking his friends made me immediately think of OPAL, the black ichor tears from the spider queen's crown. (EXTRA poignant when I remembered how close we were to DORIAN being the one with the crown instead)

I am absolutely supposed to be asleep now but I keep chewing on this ahhhhhhhhhh

As someone who was at the maelstrom kingdom live show last night, I want to send so many kudos, hugs and thanks to the organizers, crew, cast and on site medical team!

Before the show, while we were all outside waiting for doors to open, it went from sunny to downpour in about 5 minutes flat. The venue staff eventually let us all in early to get everyone out of the rain. When a bunch of us (both predictably and understandably), went straight for the merch table, the merch table team was so organized and efficient getting everyone through.

And — even more importantly!! — in the second half of the show, once Matt and the cast (pretty quickly) noticed and processed that the front few rows were waving and shouting out for a medic, Matt immediately stopped the show, called for the medical team and told people to make some space for them. The crew also very quickly brought the house lights back up and moved the cast off stage to give the medical team time and space to do their thing without distraction.

So I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was working at the show last night. It was an amazing experience and that was all thanks to their hard work and cool heads in a very unexpected situation. I also hope the person who suffered the medical event was okay! I feel so bad for them! I hope they maybe recovered enough to eventually come back in and catch the rest of the show!
