Man, Jester and Fjord are so awkward together here because they’re so nervous because they don’t know how to be. And Jester is teasing him, because she’s decided to be his friend and he doesn’t know how to talk to her anymore, because their relationship has changed. Anyway.

“Fjord, you’re being really awkward with me.” “No, I’m not.” “Yes, you are.” “I’m disarming you.” “You’re being so awkward with meeeee.”

It’s such a cute exchange.

But there’s also the layer where Fjord is aware that she used to have a thing for him and he’s starting to be more aware of his feelings while also not being sure how to react to the fact that she might not have the feelings and they just want to be friends, but they like each other and it’s a whole thing.

Nine things I noted about CR2E59 “Perspective” and the Talks Machina about it :

I'm all for Caleb renamming spells after his cat. Last exemple : the Cat's Claw, which is a variation (I suppose) of Bigby's Hand. Because that spell reminds us too much of Scanlan, plus ! Cats ! They're awesome.

Sam, preparing his joke with a shit-eating grin : "The cat's claw is made out of dirt ?" (others agree) "That's a dirty pussy." SAM

A wild Brian W. Foster appear in the background to refill Sam's cocktail. True friendship. And I want to drink cocktails while playing D&D now.

I don't trust the giants, and the giants don't trust the Mighty Nein. But they work together nevertheless ! Beautiful. I'm really struck at how however the stupid discourse around "the Mighty Nein are more immoral tha Vox Machina blablabla" goes, they really explore other ways rather than fighting, when they want to. Even in Polymorphing the ennemy in the fight ! It's really a "you be a whale a maybe you'll calm down" mentality, versus the "well they attacked so let's get attacking !" mentality.

Oh no, I agree that the monster looked ridiculous (even though I really hate mosquitos), but when they started to fall asleep like that, I was scared !
