if we're correct in the assuming that the Stone of Nightsong is the "new source of calcidion", then what was the previous bit of calcidion used for the experiment with Tertia? the Stone of Nightsong is an ancient elven artifact made from celestial bone that lay deep in the heart of the elven hinterland and had to be stolen by one of Aramán's most premier thieves. what other bit of material so divine did Tachonis have access to and how? we know that Tansul left the psychopomp work usually given to celestials to House Tachonis, the Halovars have Aetheon in their basement, and most other celestials were dealt with soon after the Shaper's War. would the calcidion have come from one of their god's celestials or another's? actually, come to think of it, why use elven celestial material for an experiment having to do with Tansul's instruction and holy place? is it out of desperation and lack of material, or is it a deliberate manipulation of the process?
