Crabdad writeup for atelierstuck he’s a classic victim of ‘accidental child acquisition’. When KK was younger he stayed at the shack and would fish in the bay, going to market to sell what he made. Now that KK is older he’s on bigger boats out at sea usually.

Crabdad in the AU. the shack is technically his but he’s gone for months on a time on fishing crews at sea. He drops by every few months to drop off supplies and money for Karkat.

He’s cantankerous, but has exactly one soft spot, and that the little crab he took in and agreed to hide from the witches

no scratch or sburb AU stuff: vantases

i’m doing a similar thing to the summoner here- i think maybe the signless got around a little bit. however it should also be ambiguous whether the vantases are actually related to him or if it’s just the symbolism of the sign and its importance to the cult

nothing really too complex here: the sufferer had three descendants* (at least). the first one was the imposter, kankri was inspired by his story but never met him, karkat and kankri did talk but mostly through cult orchestrated meetings i think

karkat lives alone with his crabdad who i think is probably more fatherly than most lusii but in a “trained to perform stereotypical father actions” sort of way. hired by the cult to protect him is the dangerous Clubs Deuce
