Maybe Cato and Jules for the crackship ask if that's alright with you?
-> When Jules decides to take up a new hobby- photography- she thinks ‘go big or go home’, so for one whole summer she stays in the stunning Lake District to hone her skills. There isn’t a more beautiful place on Earth, in her opinion. The course she takes is taught by famous local photographer Cato Reese, whose work Jules admires greatly. Who better to learn from, right? Naturally, she wants to impress him and works hard on creating her own style, which quickly catches Cato’s attention. In the time between classes, the two talk about their passion for photography, share many excellent cups of coffee at a cosy café, and go on outings in the countryside together, seeking wildlife and people to immortalise into their pictures. Cato, who is in somewhat of a slump, having not taken or published any new photos in months, which is why he has turned to teaching, suddenly feels inspired by the new perspectives that Jules offers him. She becomes something of a muse to him, a way back to renewing his reputation, and who knows… maybe they’ll capture each other’s hearts along the way.
for the crackship ask game: margot & hale (he has a pinterest board in brooke's folder) i love their friendship so this is a must see 🤭
-> When Professor Sinistra asks Margot to help tutor another student in astronomy, she’s all for it. Her dad had taught her that everyone deserves a chance and that the reward and satisfaction of helping others is worth its weight in gold. But when she finds out that the student is Hale Killingbeck, she wishes Septimus had kept his mouth shut. Reluctantly, she and Hale begin to meet up after classes in the library, but it’s clear that his heart isn’t in it, which frustrates Margot beyond belief: she’s giving up her time to help him get better grades, why can’t he be more grateful? Why can’t he stop being an arse? And one evening, she snaps and storms out of the library. The next day, Hale corners her and apologises… and Margot’s surprise, he’s sincere. He promises to try better if she gives him another chance. That’s when her father’s word echo in the back of her mind. Soon, she’s laying out the ground rules for this new partnership and as Hale begins to focus, as he begins to be proud of his work, she sees a shift in him; she sees an intelligent, determined young man with untapped skills and soon Margot begins to notice the little things, like the way his eyes glint in the sunlight, the way his tongue sticks out when he focuses, the smell of his cologne… She couldn’t be falling for him, could she? Impossible! This is only supposed to be a short term arrangement and soon they wouldn’t have to be forced together again. But Margot doesn’t feel like it’s forced anymore and maybe she wants to willingly spend time with him. She’s a smart girl with a bright future ahead of her, but she still needs to learn about the art of falling in love.
indy reagan and verna malinda for the crack ship ask game👀👀
-> Following the Battle of Hogwarts, Indy comes to London with her parents and grandparents for her Uncle Russo’s funeral. It’s a sombre affair and even though she didn’t know him personally Indy knew of the hero he had become, but afterwards she is approached by Professor McGonagall, who, now that she has accepted the role of Headmistress, needs a replacement Transfiguration professor. Indy didn’t think her reputation had crossed the Atlantic, but after some thought she decides to accept, thinking of it as a new opportunity to broaden her horizons and maybe one day become Headmistress herself. On her first day, she meets Verna Malinda- the new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor- and the two hit it off. Well, that’s an understatement. After Indy dedicates every spare second to learning sign language to better communicate with Verna, feelings quickly develop and they find themselves making excuses to meet in secret, away from the prying eyes of their colleagues and students. Yet keeping up their relationship in the shadows proves to be a challenge and neither want to hide their love for one another, but their careers are on the line because of it. Can Indy and Verna withstand the tribulations and overcome all the odds?
How about Teddy x Josie for the crackship ask 👀
-> when Teddy is assigned a case involving both the countryside and magical creatures he thinks about quitting on the spot. But when he finds out the most magnificent and prolific of all creatures- the phoenix- is the subject of trafficking he realises this could be his big break and the beginning of a career in the spotlight. He starts by seeking the help of renowned phoenix expert Josie Edwards, who works out of a remote sanctuary far from the city which Teddy knows and loves. In this new unchartered territory, Teddy has to learn quickly and adapt in order to bring the traffickers to justice, but what he doesn’t expect is that he will fall the woman who is only supposed to be a temporary partner and that the time spent with her will ignite a fire in his own heart that is brighter that of a phoenix’s…
for the crackship ask game: issy sutherland & mordred hart 👀
-> A chance visit at the Hart family bakery one rainy morning allows Issy to cross paths with Mordred. They exchange smiles before Issy grabs his food and leaves, but he can’t help feel something for the other boy. He purposely comes to the bakery more often, even though it’s out of his way, to see Mordred and eventually plucks up the confidence to talk to him. In the blink of an eye they’re reading together, talking about meaningful and philosophical subjects, laughing and joking, and trying things that they never thought they’d be courageous enough to do. Now life tastes as sweet as the pastries that sit in the glass cabinet of the shop where two boys fell in love for the first time…
Right back atcha with the crackships now that the brain fog is gone: slytherin queens but make it Semele Thorne and Mina Pendleton? 👀
It's amazing to see Mina get some love. She deserves it.
How it happened:
These two may have shared a house but otherwise never had many points of contact during their time at school. Mina was too busy worshipping her cousin and being jealous over Penny's recognition as a Potions prodigy, while Semele had no time for the seemingly boring wallflower that was Mina.
They lost sight of each of other after graduating, and even though they both worked with the Phoenix Resistance to varying degrees during the war neither of them knew of the other's involvement.
They met again after Semele decided to leave Skalafell and - having experienced the chaos of Kaari Arcano first hand - Mina was happy to provide Semele with a shoulder to cry on, her friendship and a clean, luxurious shower... which she was happy to share.
Here's a very unlikely crack ship for you: Nick and Reva 😂 - that-scouse-wizard
Okay this one made me think quite a bit but I think I got something!
How it happened:
Nick and Reva have known each other since their very early childhood obviously, but Reva was always closer to Robin, Nick's twin sister.
With Robin and Reva being thick as thieves, Nick drew back a little and preferred the much more relaxed company of Reva's older brother Dylan.
This continued into their time at Hogwarts, where Dylan and Nick became close friends. Because of their respective siblings, Nick and Reva spent a lot of time in each other's presence, eventually growing closer by sheer exposure.
When Dylan and Dana Parkin eventually became a couple, Reva was deeply distraught by what she considered to be some twisted form of incest (it's not incest Reva, look it up). Nick was there to talk to her on Dylan's behalf, but also because seeing her so upset hurt him more than he cared to admit.
Reva embraced the chance to get back at her brother and made a move on Nick, who knew her too well to fall for it. Being rejected hurt, a lot more than Reva had thought, and it wasn't only her hurt pride that stung.
Nick drew back from her a little, and Robin was livid when she found out what Reva had attempted. Dylan being angry at her (and she at Dylan), Robin refusing to talk to her, and Nick evading her whenever possible... it was not a good time for Reva, and she compensated it as she always did - by being loud and causing trouble.
When a particularly dangerous stunt with her skateboard landed her in the Hospital Wing, however, all of her friends, who had been previously angry at her, were there. They all came, but Nick was the one who stayed. He kept her company until she was allowed to go (much to the relief of everyone including the matron).
To celebrate her regained freedom, Nick and Reva took a long walk across the grounds, Nick showing her around his favourite parts Reva hadn't explored yet, and Reva listening to his explanations more intently than she had ever thought possible. When she pulled him in for a kiss beneath the hanging branches of a weeping willow (yes, that was intentional) Nick didn't push her away and the rest, as they say, is history.
