Bestie how ya doing? You good? What project are you working on now?

I'm not doing great honestly!! My best friend got covid and he's been out for a few days. Currently I'm kinda project-less, but I'm still kinda working on Twice upon a Mattress. One of my friends wrote the Wizard's song too!! I don't have it but it was really good

I kinda want to do something crafty, like make an outfit or something... idk

I've been looking to do some little crafts with my beeb where I would like to get him to walk in some paint and then on some paper but I would like do to do some decent amount of research on this first. 1) do you know any homemade paints that are bird safe (or would kid paints work??) 2) do you think this is safe in general? 3)if not do you know any alternatives?

Most paints won’t be safe since all of them do release some amount of fumes that can be bad for their respiratory systems, paint will very likely get stuck between their scales so when they preen their feet they’ll end up eating some which won’t be the healthiest thing for them. The safest thing to do would be to create a fluid mixture of vegetable dyes (bird-safe veggies of course) and get them to waddle through a shallow puddle of that.  There’s plenty of recipes online for how to create vegetable dyes just ensure the veggies you use are non-toxic and that the mix isn’t hot when the bird walks through it!
