I decided pretty quickly I liked the ALC guildmaster, lol.

According to this forum post, the following are their ratings for each crafting guild for early content of the game (considering the player's financial and the items' usefulness):

Acquired Taste - 1 ✔✖✖✖✖ Merry Potters - 4 ✔✔✔✔✖ Soul Wardens - 3 ✔✔✔✖✖ Earthseers - 4 ✔✔✔✔✖ Silver Cauldron - 1 ✔✖✖✖✖ Radiant Ring - 3 ✔✔✔✖✖ Forge Keepers - 2 ✔✔✖✖✖

For my first character to hit level 15, I choose Earthseers mainly for the seals and Silver Cauldron since it has the same gathering guilds it needs as Earthseers.
