For this I went with earthy colors that can hide clay stains or easily washed. Very airy.

For witchy tools I went things I felt could be easily washed because clay gets everywhere.

a lot of witchy youtube thoughts

I have several things I’d like to touch on (none of them negative!). This is more of a brain storm (in language I don’t speak as a native), but please bear with me. (TLDR at the bottom)

(I will be making separate posts about this later)

1.

Firstly, I have been thinking about opening a store for the longest time. A lot of the things I’ll be selling will be witchy, which is why I’m saying this in the first place (who would’ve thought?).

So, the reason why I’m saying this in a post about witchy youtube channels/videos, is because I’d love to film myself making the stuff I’ll be selling, and just chatting about witchy things. I have been feeling strongly about needing a more proper witch community lately, and right now this seems like a good way to gather one.

If I go through with my idea, I’ll be making a new post about it, but I’ll quickly make 2 things clear about this idea:

  1. Everything I earn will go to my transitioning. I feel like this is something that should be made clear (in my case at least!) because then people can choose whether they want to support that or not.

  2. The videos would be purely for my own fun, and for community reasons. Like I said, I’ve been feeling strongly about the need for a community, but obviously I can find a different way to do so.

I’d love to hear peoples thoughts about this, btw.

I think I’ve talked about this before (?), but I am working on a lot of grimoire related stuff. Admittedly shit kinda went sideways, but I have been getting back on track and I think (hope) I’ll be done with my plans by the end of the month.

What I’m doing is making two separate youtube playlists. One with grimoire/BOS walkthroughs/side planning, and another with bookbinding/how to make your own grimoire/BOS. 

I know a lot of beginners *love* to watch grimoire videos (and honestly, same) so I figured I might as well just gather them all in one place. I’ve also got a side-tumblr (@grimoiredinsp), where I try to reblog all grimoire pages I can find.

TLDR: I might open a (mostly) witchy store, and would love peoples input on this. I am also working on a project to make grimoire playlists for people who love watching others grimoires/BOS as much as I do.

Day 5 - Yarn : I don't know how to knit or crochet yet, but I have a small collection of yarn which I use for wrapping embroidery hoops. My favorite is this hand dyed one by Etsy shop MsMonsterCreations. The change of color along the edge is so satisfying.

Finally put up my mini banner. I had plans on putting it on the outside of my door but I kept forgetting to get the taped hooks (command stripes??) so I used thumbtacks and in the doorway right after my apartment door. I wanted something double sided in case I put it up in a doorway rather then a door but also I couldn’t decide if I like the futhark rune or witches runes more.

Yellow side (from left to right): The Birds got good luck and success; Ear of Corn for unexpected news, change; Sun for success, progress.

Taupe side (from left to right): Fehu for wealth, abundance; Algiz for confidence, creativity; Raido for opportunities, adventure.

There also use of colour magic in this with both th dying fabric and the embroider floss; yellow for joyfully motivation, brown for grounding (setting realistic goals), green for growth (financially as well as personally and spiritually), orange determined motivation, grey for balance.

I was kind of torn about putting this up already since I have plans of moving when my lease is up, it’s a nice place but I cannot go another summer of mid20’s and higher temperatures without AC (or at least a place to put a fan without having to worry about the plug going all fucky) or run the risk of the heating breaking in the middle of winter again, I also just need more room for homework and work from home.

My birthday is coming up and I think I am going to save up any bday monies I get to buy some needle felting supplies again. I am still trying to find my groove in the art world by tapping into all the art styles I haven’t done in awhile.

Needle felting was so much fun, I wanna make little deer and forest spirits 💜💜
