Autistic people don't even ask to infodump anymore, they just look at you like
If I see a single person calling lois "eh fuck it I'll just shoot him and deal with the consequences" lane annoying for doing her job as a reporter I will bend all of their chargers to the point where you have to invent a new shape with them in order to get any charge
yall, the white dude isn't even that hot, I deadass forgot about him like 5 mins in LMAO, CLARK IS RIGHT THERE AND HOTTER
Everyone who says that absolute poison ivy isn't hot in her true non feminine form is a coward
You people hate to see a queen that doesn't abide by feminine beauty standards, and it shows smh
seeing how people are treating Bobby in comparison to the rest of the characters including THE MAIN POV CHARACTER has made me think of that post of "He's not even hot, hes just white"
they would rather actually fuck the guy who has about as much character(and dies in like 5 mins) as the caveman cardboard cut out than Clark, a character that has some of the most interesting character writing I have seen out of a horror protagonist
...is this a safe space to say that I do not understand where people are coming from when it comes to saying the Backrooms movie is racist?
If I’m being honest, the race of the characters didn't enter my mind at all when watching the film. Clark is a violent person, sure, but the movie is in no way saying that he's that way because he's a person of color. The movie is about many things: trauma, how our bad habits can lead to the downfall of ourselves and others, the cycle of abuse, the dangers of AI, how corporations will print out the same thing over and over and over until it becomes a shell of what it once was. It’s a movie that changes my interpretation of it every time I think of it, with every detail I learn about the setting and characters. I absolutely love how Clark is written in the movie; I don't think he's a bad character. However, he may be bad in his behaviors; it does not mean his writing is poor. Kane stated in an interview with Wendigoon that he doesn't like to confine himself within the binaries of good and evil, and that can be seen everywhere from Async to the people who get lost within the halls of the complex.
I think the people who are so quick to jump on a well-written, nuanced character like Clark and say he's written that way because of his race are honestly doing the character a disservice.
"it's only me, you know me" FUCKING CHILLS DUDE
