My page for the Cactus zine that can finally be shown. The special thing here is that these are portraits of my own plants. Haworthias, crassulas and cactuses (the latter were grown from seed, they are currently in their second year) :3
Crassula rupestris
This plant is a form of Crassula rupestris, which is widespread in western South Africa. It is a small form of the species, and it looks very much like the cultivar named 'Tom Thumb', except that its flowers are tinged with pink instead of being pure white. Crassula is a very large genus, with most of the species found in southern Africa. It belongs to the Stonecrop Family, Crassulaceae, which takes its name from this genus.

Finally planted that ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus I got a few weeks ago in the desert-y crevice garden-y setup I had been picturing. Planted with monanthes polyphylla- hoping that as needed I can water the m. polyphylla more since it’s “lower” on the composition and eventually the ariocarpus’ taproot will do what it’s supposed to do.
